My DD2 is currently 11 months and has been fully vaxed up to four months (her 4 month shots were her last) She hasn't had her 6 month shots, I'm wanting to delay those till she is a little older (after having done some research), same with the 12 month shots. She will definately not be receiving the MMR.

So for those of you who have delayed vaxing, when are you planning on vaxing and why please, as I'm trying to decide when a good time is to vax. I've heard a few diff opinions and wanted to get some on here too!

TIA

to tell you the truth i have no idea. I think i will re access each year with new research and take it from there. I would like to wait till they are at least 16-18yrs old.

I have a fully vaxxed 8 yr old and almost 11 yr old also fully vaxxed..

I have a 22 mth old who is vaxed up to 6 mths but will never receive the MMR and a 7 mth old who is not vaxed at all. I have put any further vaxxing on hold until I receive any further info :)

I'm thinking of waiting until 2, I've heard that is the age they start in some other countries. We want to delay but we can't too long because we are hoping to go to third world countries in the not too distant future and will need the protection in those countries.

I have read a few books and websites: it varies from 2 months, 1 years old to 2 years old. Some said its ok as long as the dosages are spread out. Some recommended partial vaccination, ie those deadly ones. The more extreme ones ask for a total ban. Sigh, what a total confusion!

Tell me bout it!

Has anyone decided that their child will not be having certain vaxes and if so which ones?

My DD is not vaxxed at all and will definetly not be having the MMR as my DS reacted badly to it. My DS is fully vaxxed.

i'm in the same boat. My twins are fully Vaxed got each one when they where suppose to as they where my 1st I really didn't have a lot of info, I was nervous about the MMR and when I went to talk about it to the Doctor he totaly got angry saying I am risking my twins life and that I am being foolish and that there is no link to MMR and autisum and he said stop sitting on the fence we are going to do it today so you wont pro long it and before ya knw it he was back with a needle & nurse and bam they did it.
I must admit Jack had a reaction and changed, but Liam had no reaction.

I am now faced with this again as my youngest just turned 1, he is so far fully vax and has had no reaction to any of the vax so far but once again the fear of the MMR is with me. I don't know what to do.

they won't be getting the chicken pox one. I just don't see a need for it at all. Im hoping he will catch it while he is young and get lifetime immunity from it. It worries me that if he was to have the vax now and it wears off in say 15-20yrs and he catches then, its much more dangerous and its potentionally deadly. So thats a NO for me.

DS2 won't be getting the MMR until it can be done seperatly.
