And Jasmine is pretty but groovy at the same time.
Well done!!!

IMO both names are very nice!
DH and I love the name Noah but a very good friend of ours is using that name so that ruled it out for us! lol
 I love both names!
Both are VERY strong! :smiliedance:
Haven't heard Maureen in a while...could consider it a bit unique in this day and age.

Yep I'm thinking the same thing. I think that he might have to spell his names out for that reason. Or that ppl will think its a joke
Of course I'm also a fan of not asking anyone what they think DH and I just choose the names ourselves. How many ppl are you going to get to name during your lifetime...?

omg....i just realised i could be the one that spoils it for her........lol
Well our honest opinion was requested...you're helping - not spoiling:D
i think choosing a name is such an individual thing, some names are special family names or have special meanings just for you.
i like the name noah and know many beautiful jasmins.
i sorta like unusual names that no one i know has. not that my kids names are all that unusual, because i had strong urges of just what was right for them after they were born.
however we did have someone laugh in our face at dd2's name  luckily it was no one we knew, just someone in the lift at the hospital.

don't forget to be flexible too, because sometimes after they're born, you look at them and think, ' oh, they look like a (grace), (ella), (insert name)'. you know what i mean, you suddenly realise that another name suits them.
i got annoyed with my mother's group because i din't announce the name of DD for about 4-5 days, as i was unsure about committing to the name we picked (because she looked like a grace when she was born, but my DH wouldn't have it). anyway, so while we were getting used to the chosen name and settling on it, we just told people we were undecided. one girl from mother's group went on and on about how long it took me to name her, and she wouldn't let it go as if i was so disorganised. and you could tell that it was discussed amongst them. you know that feeling you get when people have talked about you. like , HELLO...........get a life!!!!
anyway, my ma took 6 weeks to name me..........so hey, must run in the family

You guys are so funny!
Mark is my uncles name sadly deceased.
Maureen is my partners father's mothers name who is very symbolic to the whole in law side. Actually being the only person anyone liked. But like you all I just don't think it sounds that pretty. Especially after Jasmine.
So one named for my side.
The other for my partners side.
I loved all your comments especcially about the names being so strong.
And about Noah's Ark!!!!!!!!!
It never even crossed my mind. I might have to re-think the options LOL.
Thanks everyone for your valuable input!
I love the name Noah, and Noah Mark flows fairly well depending on your last name of course.
I love the name Jasmine, Maureen is ok but not sure if it flows too well with Jasmine.
Nice choices though :)
I love the name Noah. That was our name picked out if we had another boy.

I love both Noah & Jasmine.
Trying hard to word this correctly as it's not coming out right!!! .... I have a tendancy to think middle names can be "in honour" of others, or family traditions etc. (still not right, but I'm hoping you get what I mean!).
DD's middle name is Elise & DP's Nanna thought we named her after her, by giving her a 'modern' version of Elsie. She's happy with this & we're happy to let her think this, as it works!
If we have a boy, the middle name WILL be James (family thing on my side) and we have sorted discussed "Margaret" for a girls middle name (not that I'm excited about it!) as it is both mine & DP's mum's name.
So, to cut a long story short - if YOU like it or want to use it, that's all that matters!!!
Good luck!

Love the name Noah - it was high on our list of boys names and Mark goes well with it as a middle name. Jasmine is a lovely girls name but not to fond of Maureen, sorry.
I like Noah Mark, but I must admit that Noah's Ark crossed my mind too:o . He could potentially be up for some teasing with that combination. Which is a pity as it is rather nice.
