Does it matter if you give different teats to babies for their feeds? I plan on weaning my 4 month DD in about 2 months time to the bottle and wonder if I should have all of the same teats. At the moment I have some Nuk and Avent ones and she seems to take both now. Do you use different teats throughout the day to prevent confusion or doesn't it matter? :confused:

I used different types with my DS and he wasnt bothered by it at all, he still isnt. I have the Nuk ones that have the flat teat & the normal cone type ones. As long as he gets nummy nums out of it he is happy. But like most things, all bubs are different.

My son was very fussy wit his teats when he was first born we used the tommee tippee teats that are for the wide neck bottles and they have ridges on them i wouldnt reccomend the ones at the supermarket that are new that say no drips as my son couldnt geta drop out of them. Then we went for the tommee tippee wide neck plain at 3 months and now we use another teat that i cant remember the brand but he wouldnt use the advent ohnes as they are too skinny. I had to make sure it was the correct teat or else he wouldnt take it.

Bubs hated the normal teats so he went onto the cross cut teats at around 3wks of age which he has loved & hates anything else LOL. It helped with his colic etc so we arent too fussed its just hard to find them so we grabbed then anytime we saw them.
Every baby is different so find what works for you & bubs !

my DS was fussy with his teats he had to have Pur ones till about 5 months then he switched to orthodontic ones and he is happy :)

my DS was also fussy. I paid a fortune for all the fancy ones that they recommend for when they are teething etc and he hated all of them.

the only ones he'd take too were the cheapie cone shaped ones.

it was the same with his dummy - paid a fortune for all the orthodontic ones and he hated them and liked the el cheapo Happy Baby ones with the cherry.

so it obviously depends on the bubs.
