Yeah...Chanel is 8.5 months and is kinda growling. I dunno if it's the kind of growl you're referring to...but she growls all the same. It's more of a rumble in her throat...and she moves her mouth into a funny bottom-jaw forward position. I don't think it's an angry noise though...just a noise she does for no reason. I think it's just her testing out her vocals.
Oh yes; if you tell DS not to do something he growls. If he is frustrated he growls and sometimes just for the fun of it he growls.
Oh yes! That is DS's new favourite thing too do for at least the past 2 weeks!
He usually does it when he is playing with his toys or when we tell him not to do something! :)

Yes! That's Claire's new favourite thing to do (she's nearly 10 months old). I think its just one of those funny things bubbas do - testing out what they can do with their bodies and/or voices.

YES, yes and yes..... my youngest used to growl all the time.... it was a really freaky bear lie growl, which really was very cute but he would growl so much sometimes and get this look on his face you expected his head to start spinning. Was like something from the excorsist. He used to love doing it and was always growling .... but i think that novelty has work off a little now.

Yeah, my boy does it... and I do it back! He thinks its hilarious!
...I think thats why he does it now, just so I do it back to him... I also talk to him in a 'growly' voice sometimes and he cracks up laughing!
Its a bit embarrassing when he does it in public though... It attracts strange looks!
Yes - my boy does it too. :p

yes my DS use to do that all the time.
everytime I'd visit one friend in particular or we'd speak on the phone she'd say "does he still growl" and she use to try and get him to do it. I videoed it because I didn't think anyone would believe me who didn't hear him do it.
how funny I'm so glad after hearing all of your stories that my DS is normal after all. :smiliedance:

also, whenever we say "no" now she turns around and growls at us and gets ALL grumpy.
 thank god its normal.
My ds did this too. He almost had a whole vocabulary of growls. He didn't just do it when he was unhappy he did it all the time. It was so cute. Enjoy your growly little, it is a phase that passes too soon.
