Hi all,

Just wondering is it common for teething babies to vomit more regularly. Connor has cut his first tooth - but his second if only a few days away from showing its little head. But I have noticed that when it seems to be bothering him he seems to bring up more.

Just wondering whether the 2 are related. He does have slight reflux (but not painful reflux), but it has started to rescind - except for a couple of days here and there.

Hi nkenward,

My boy Connor has been teething, still no tooth....but in the last week or so he's been vomiting more (after most feeds) and temp. goes up too. His Grandma (Nanny) says it's from teething and not to stress.

Connor was born on the 2nd November so he's almost 6 months old, your bubs is a month older isn't he? How do you know the next tooth is almost ready to cut through? I am not sure how to tell, it must be soon the way he is acting (out of sorts and grizzly) vomiting, crying for no reason etc...

So yes maybe the vomiting is a sign of teething for some babies. Or if it continues for too long it could be a tummy bug or something...I am keeping a close eye on Connor.

hmmm .. well Jack has NEVER EVER been a reflux baby (thank goodness... touch wood) - but since his teeth started cutting it is quite common for him to bring up a mouthful after a feed ..

he HATES it .. and grimaces - and I am thankful that it is only a mouthful (not REALLY a vomit) - but it did start happening when the teeth started.???

HTH??

My DH and i have just started wondering the same thing.

My DS has silent reflux...but for the last wk or so he has actually been bringing up some of his milk. This is not common at all for him. He was never a chucker...

We've been wondering if it was related to teething too, as our DS has been going off food and getting temps. and been going back to sleep after waking screaming and being given bonjella.

Our DS is normally a huge eater....and to be vomiting when he's hardly eating anything compared to the norm- when he doesn't EVER chuck- is just weird!

I too hope it's related to teething. I don't think my DS has a bug or is sick because it's not large amounts of food, but just bits here and there.

Maybe teething upsets their tummy a bit...i've heard they do go off their food. I don't blame them!
