having never passed 8 weeks. because of reasons i wish not to discuss i dont know whats going through rubys head.
she crys for a feed as babies do but then will scream at my breast i sit her up shes fine as if she doesnt want a feed:confused:
am i confusing her crys
also i have been feeding lying down alot. not while my todler is awake though
is lying down easier for her
is she expecting that every time
does she want the other side
i never realised how different it was to bottlefeeding :o

Your doing a fab job hun, if she doesnt want the breast, i try the other side, if she doesnt want that and her nappies clean etc i find that my dd will happily lay in my arms in the BF position and just nuzzles against my breast for comfort. She will normally go to sleep. Sometimes i put her down to have a play on the floor, she cracks it so yeap ok its not that LOL, sometimes i throw her over the shoulder or nurse her offer her a feed etc, she doesnt want that.
You know i think its instinct to offer bubs the breast when they cry, i know that i do. It doesnt always help though so generally its either tiredness, boredom, pain etc. Sometimes dd will fight the breast i prop her up and then she nuzzles her way down to drink, i still cant work her out!!
Keep doing what your doing, you have done an awesome job as for lopsided ness, hmm well unfortunately i think thats one thing about BF that makes me wear lose tops LOL

Yeah generally i found most growth spurts usually went from say 6 weeks, 12 weeks then around 18-20 weeks. They seemed to come randomly and unexpected :). DD still has ratty moments but it seems to only last 48 hours or so then shes back to her normal self.
As for the cat napping, JMO it doesnt bother me as she sleeps solidly at night, well 11pm till 5-6am so i am happy that i get a solid nights sleep :) I dont expect her to sleep from 7 to 7 just yet seeing my 3 yo is still getting up at 5am

shes asleep :D
i think i was holding her wrong
at first i was tucking her arm infront of my tummy
but clearly this was upsetting her as now i have her arm along my side like hugging but her lying across me  that doesnt sound right lol
and shes been less fussy. i think i have def been mistaking her crys but its so easy to just offer the boob first :o
ruby is now asleep after a solid 30min feed. thank you :yelclap:
now to eat dinner and go to sleep
