oh hon ... boook yourself in ASAP ... you cant be in pain for the whole pregnancy ... and panadol is about as exciting as home medication gets while pregnant!!!

- I had a temporary filling put in one of my teeth while pregnant...so you never know... the dentist might at least be able to stop the pain till after bubs arrives... and THEN fix the problem properly???

(LOL - I just had this image of you turning up at the hospital in labour ... asking for gas!!! - no .. not for the labour.. for your tooth  )

I agree, go to he dentist and have it fixed, you can have Xrays while pregnant the Dentist just puts a lead vest over your belly to protect.

I dont want to make you panick but I think you need to be aware that poor dental health has been linked to prem birth because of the prolification of bacteria.

Pregnant women with high levels of an oral bacterium associated with tooth decay and caries (cavities) are at risk for delivering preterm low birth weight (PLBW) babies, according to a study that was published today in the Journal of Periodontology. The study marks the first time that preterm delivery has been associated with oral bacteria other than those which cause infections of the gums (periodontal disease). This new evidence adds to the growing body of research which shows that a pregnant woman's oral health is important to the health of her newborn.

There are heaps of other articles and studies available on this topic, I have just picked on which seems to be a little easier to read.

Yes follow Veve's advice and get seen asap.
As a dental assistant I've seen plenty of preg women treated.
I actually had a wisdom tooth taken out in Dec in my second trimester, already had the x-rays done before, and it was a very simple and straight forward extraction.
Please see someone Brooke. You never know it may not be your teeth, ie sinus infection instead, and/or there might be something you can do about it, ie atleast put you on some antibiotics (?not sure if can in preg but find out) to clear up an infection if there's one present.

I had an awful toothache in early pregnancy...No joke i would prefer to be in labor than go through a toothache, it is agonizing and horrible.

I went to the dentist, but it was a gum infection, I was SO SURE it was a tooth, so fingers crossed it is a gum infection and you don't have to have anything pulled.

Goodluck, I know toothache is the WORSE

Well I was up all night in pain. The pain dulled downed a bit during the day but then got pretty bad again this afternoon so I went to see a pharmacist and see what medication I can use to get me through until I see the dentist tomorrow. He said the strongest pain relief I can have is panadine so I am waiting till 2.30 in the morning so I can take some cause I have already had my maximum dose of Panadol for a 24 hour period:thumbsdown: I would have gone to the dentist quicker but being public holidays no one was open. I did ring the birthing suites at my hospital for advice but they where no help and told me just to take some pain relief a pharmacist recommended until the dentist reopened. So I only have to get through tonight and then hopefully the dentist can pit my pain to rest

Veve- I think I would have rather been in labour last night!!
