DS is 9 1/2 months and feeds 6.30am, 2pm, 6.30pm. I haven't feed over nite for nearly 4 months and have been on three feeds a day for 2 months. DS no longer drains me and has solids before BF (appart from morning feed). But.... I still leak badly and it is annoying me soooo much!!! It's not a let down, but I find if I'm carrying DS and he squishes me, or put any pressure on my boobs they leak. Every morning I'm waking up soaked, my sheets are wet. I hate wearing a bra to bed and often lay on a towel and wrap some cloth nappies around me.
Is anyone else having this problem this far down that track??

Wow, I thought I was a leaker . I was wearing breastpads up until DS was 12 months. My leaking was usually only let down though at that stage. I leaked alot more in the first 6 months.

He is 16.5 months now and I still have leak of let down milk when he has his first feed of a morning.

I have no advice or suggestions, only to say you poor thing :hugs: Don't ya hate the smell of dry milk

With DD it was about 10 months of age until I stopped leaking like you described - but it had reduced a great deal by 9.5 months.

I'm finding I barely leak with this baby. Where I was soaking through breastpads at this stage with DD, I'm finding that with DS, I need to change them 3 - 4 times a day. I'm assuming my breasts are a bit 'smarter' so to speak, this time around.

I think this is one of those 'everybody is different' kinds of things.

Hope it gets better for you soon.

I'm still leaking and Isaac is 10 months...although we are in a different situation here. Isaac won't take solids so i'm feeding him around 10 times a day and night so my boobs are probably making much more milk than in the early days! I've just become used to wearing a bra to bed with breastpads. It will be very strange when i dont have to wear one....maybe in around 7 years when i've finished feeding all these children we plan on having!

Hi I found a singlet with a built in layer of absorbant material and a shelf bra called a booby bib. I bought one second hand and new on ebay. It is very comfortable and at least no more messy sheets or pjs. My bub is 6 months and I still wear mine.

I just had a thought too - I hate wearing a bra to bed as well, but in my pregnancy bought some "Ambra" brand soft cup, seamless bras (from Myer, if it helps!). They're made out of a polyester material, similar to thick stockings, and didn't feel like I was wearing a bra - but are enough to keep breast pads in place.

My milk supply is just starting to settle now (DS is 2 weeks old today), so I'm starting to wear them to bed again as I'm not getting so engorged. Maybe you could look into them?

Oh, they were $20 each, so quite reasonable :)

I'm using booby bibs too! I bought mine off ebay as old stock from the supplier. $20 each. I haven't leaked through one yet and I'm a big leaker (drenched sheets)
