Sisters DS circ'ed on Tuesday

My DS2 is 3 1/2monts now and like DS1 is not circ'ed. We read a lot and considered very carefully in making our decision. On Tuesday my sisters DS2 was done :(. Sis's DS1 was done 4 1/2 yrs ago but I didnt tink about it because I didnt ave my own kids yet. It makes me so sad because I dont believe sis and BIL looked into it really, just did it as a matter of course. I just cant tink of any real reason for it.

My Dad will occasionally mention "facts" e's come across pro-circ. My DP isnt circed - very uncommon in India - and tat is my come back often to my dad "you dont ear of epedemics of men in India wit infections/cancer/electively getting it done in teir 50's." Also like to tell Dad te old "an uncirc'ed penis needs as muc special care as an elbow i.e none" Yesterday I got annoyed at Dad bringing up "facts" yet again especially so close after sis getting er DS2 done I said "yes it could one day get infected I guess, but so could my sons tonsils yet I'm not getting tem removed"

Anyway, just wanted a place to go over my feelings wit like-minded people,

I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Personally I don't know anyone IRL that has circed their child

I wouldn't listen to your Dad, some of the older generation are still stuck in that generations way of thinkinh IYKWIM.
