Hi- first time on here.
Am pregnant with #2 babe and am desperate to not have c-section.
My first babe was failure to progress due to his head being at the wrong angle (possibly due to the oxytocin??) but he was happily stored away and would have stayed that way if we let him.
Have booked in with a midwife for a home birth but am getting nervous.... HELP!!
Am not worried about a vaginal birth just about the scariness of having a repeat section...
i just feel my best chance is at home and not at hospital

Hi Jojo... i'm pregnant with my first so I really can't be of much help but there are a couple of ladies on here that can help you with homebirth information... hopefully they will be on soon and can help you more....
Nice to meet you! :)

Hi Jojo welcome.
The best chance you have for a natural birth is at home, esp after a c/section. it is an excellent option esp if you have a fantastic midwife.
Just wanted to point out that oxytocin is a natural chemical in the body which is produced during labour. syntocin is the artificial hormone which they pump into you at hospital - so im guessing thats what you were referring to. either way, neither of those two would have resulted int he positioning of your child - it was more than likely he was posterior and tried to turn, was anterior and tried to turn posterior, or he engaged that way.
the fact that you are home birthing means that you will have much more freedom to move around to stop that from happening again.
best of luck and enjoy bringing your baby earthside in the comfort and safety of your own home.
jojobewildered, hi
do you realise there is a home birth support section on this forum? it is fantastic for getting support, and everyone there is always willing to answer any questions:)
I some times fell alittle scared having a home birth, but i think i had the same kind of fear while i was pregnant the last two times, just fear of c-sec, or tearing etc.
Have you spoken to your midwife about your fears i find that a good way to make me feel better.
Would love to chat with you more:)
