What should I do with them for tea tonight? :detective:

I also have other vegies such as spuds, carrots, spinach, pumpkin etc... as well as chicken, mince, sausages, fish.
But it's the fennel and eggplant that has me totally stumped! I have no idea what to do with either. I don't even know which part of the fennel is eaten!! :o:o

Ideas, anyone?

What's your favorite way to eat fennel, and what's your favorite way to eat eggplant?

THANKS!!! :bee:

fennel - you eat the bottom bulb. It will cook similarly to celery, but licorice in flavour. We make a fish stew with a tomato & vegetable base, using fennel seed for flavour. But it could be done with fennel instead.

Eggplant - Caponata! Yum.

Thanks Martha! I couldn't get back to the PC last night but ended up roasting the bulby bit with a drizzle of olive oil and LOVED it!! No-one else in the family did, but pah!! Who cares!!

Tonight I think I'll cook the eggplant in the George Forman grill with the sausages... Maybe put some more fennel in there too... :D

Now I'm off to look up Caponata!! Thanks M:thumbsup:
