Has anyone bought nappies from this lady? I probably should have asked this before I actually bought the nappies LOL ......
Nicky seems really nice, she was quite backed up with orders when I first contacted her (I figure this is a good sign? Lots of business means she must be pretty good??) I've bought a deluxe flanellette fitted for $11 and a hemp AIO for $15, and I am getting them in the mail this week. The prices are really good - of course I'll wait to see how they go on bub's butt before I buy more from her. But just wondered if any of my fellow clothies had practical experience with this brand?

It's a fleece outer, she said. They still work as good as the PUL, yeah? Plus she has very cute designs :D

WAIT! Let me try to answer this one because I'm becoming a bit of a clothie to be....

it's Poly....urthine........Laminate? LOL I have no idea.

But it's special material that make the nappies waterproof so you don't have to use a cover
AND you can use them as a swim nappie too! (at least the ones I was looking at)

Edit: Polyurethane laminate. I was close. "Breatheable, waterproof layer" :D

I can't speak for these nappies, though I find the naming very confusing - we already have a Nix-Naps and a Nip Naps and a Nap Naps :/

In general: a single layer of Australian fleece will not work well as an AIO for any length of time, unless your baby is a very light wetter and there's heaps of absorbency in the nappy. Two layers of ordinary fleece works ok (but is bulky), one layer of the premium imported Malden Mills polar works well, or a layer of decent Australian polar lined with taslon or PUL or similar.

There's a bit more detail on different fleeces in the ozclothnappies FAQ.

Thanks Lara  I'll have to ask her, it may well be 2 layers of fleece, I'm not sure. But I'll go check out the ozclothnappies FAQ's now, cheers!

hey queen, i bought 2 of these nappies and they arrived looking gorgeous. They look good but obviously i havent had a chance to use them. The price is very cheap, if they work i will get more. I got the Aio's which has polar fleece on the outside (elmo and lions!). I guess i'll have to wait and see how they go.
