Weeelllll - i have had an afternoon and a half! No real reason for my post except to express my frustration - not anger or anything, just frustration!
So today i had to go and have the bloodwork done for the NT test next tuesday.
I was given the U/S referral by my GP and i booked it over the phone. They told me to come in and get the blood referral from the U/S place then i can go downstairs to get the blood taken (im lucky in that my GP/US/Pathology are all in the one building).
So in i go to get the referral - they give me the paper and i say ok i just go downstairs and then come back next week for the scan - they say - no you have to go to a different Pathology company - another street in wollongong (these are all main roads mind you so v. difficult to get a park).
so off i go and the ladies at the pathology place tell me that they dont deal with IRG imaging, only South Coast Xray and the referral is useless - they havent put what they need done on the request. So i persist they told me to go to that place, so they ring the medical centre and apparently the referring dr (on the referral - not my gp) hasnt worked in the centre for 14 yrs! So they say, go back to where you got this useless referral from and find out really where u have to go.
So back to the U/S place (after doing a few laps of the Gong city centre to get a parking spot) and the U/S ladies were confused as they 'send all their NT patients there'. So they rang the pathology ladies, they all had an argument over the phone - they then told me to go back to the pathology place and not to leave until they do it as that is where all their patients, including one this morning went too!.
Back off to the pathology (thank goodness, easier to get a parking spt there) and walk in and the ladies go - oh dont tell me they sent you back here! Im like, look ring them if u want but i want this done, she goes oh we will do it for you this time, but we never do it - we had our admin lady look up the last 100 days and we havent done any! they are lying to you - liers - im thinking by this stage i dont care who is lying just shutup take my blood so i can go home and start dinner BAH!
5 mins and im back out the door with the blood taken - FINALLY!
So 2 hours it took me to get that blood test done...
As i said, no real reason except frustration lol.
