little help??? pregnant on the pill???

does anyone know the chances of falling pregnant on the pill.

i have been forgeting to take it at the right time every night. i have still been taking it but not at the right time.

just wanting to know if there is a chance of getting pregnant?

I took it religiously every single night, wasn't sick, wasn't on other meds, did everything right and have an almost 5 year old to show it's not 100% safe.

The reccommendation is to take it within 12hrs if you forget. Overall as long as you are around the same time give/take 2 hrs you should be ok. But thats not to say its 100% we can still get pregnant even if you taje it at the same time every night. If you have trouble remembering, try in the morning put it next to your toothbrush or somewhere where you will see it (for me it was next to the kettle!!). It doesnt matter what time of the day you take it as long as its around the same time every day.:)

Just a side note, I've heard that GRAPEFRUIT can affect the pill :eek:

Even if you take the pill the same time every day, there are so many things that can affect it. Get a list from your doctor.

It is also affected by diarrhoea, vomiting or antibiotics. Taken correctly, the pill is 98% effective.

I cannot confirm if it is effective when you take it at the same time everyday but I can confirm that NOT taking it at the same time every day(even missing one) has given me an almost 32 week bump and growing nicely :yes:.

I am hopeless taking it and have decided it is safer for DH to get the snip after this bub..

you could very well be - keeping in mind that not everyone falls pregnant first time trying.

however, if you are then thats great news! and it sounds as though you would be due around the same time as me if you are pg!?

unno if i should take a test thoe...its 12 days today since my partner and i have..well you know..he want me to take a test to be really sure that way my hormones are completely through my body...!
His really hoping i am...and so am i..!
But no i havent taken a test as yet..i will on the 4th july..!

hey all ok heres whats happerned for 2 weeks

i got my period the other day but only had it for 3 days and it was really light and on the 3rd day it was really just patch bleeding...
.feeling tired abit..but it could be lack of sleep..lol..umm yeah...
could i still be pregnant if i got a period..or the body gave me a period because the shock of going off the pill?
And also in saying all that would i still be pregnant dispite having a period???

Just buy a test from the supermarket, do it and see :yes: That will tell you if you are pg or not for sure. They are advertised as 99.9% accurate.

Who knows what the chances of falling pg with the pill are? If it's a statistic you're looking for... well, these things are different with everybody. You either are or you aren't!

Hey all me again from a few months ago.:)
going backward from last week for about 3 weeks i hadnt taken the pill and my partner and i well "yea" and this was a month ago or 2 or 3 weeks ago we "yea" alot without anything..(*sorry for detail*).And yesterday morning i wasnt feel all that well when i wokeup and i felt really sick like a vomite sick and i sat up and walked to the loudge room feel sick like my tummy was turning and yeah wasnt all that right and i raced to the toilet wanting to vomite but my body would let me bring anything up and my body also tryed to vomite 3 or so times..before it stopped and afterwards i felt sick but no need to vomite..2 days ago i started taking the pill again and i hadn started a period for 2 weeks and so i took a active tablet(the pill) and yeah i stopped it after taken it once or twice and started bleeding but it was dark and wasnt a period feeling..i had not period pains or warnings..iv taken the pill since but i still dont tell that right.:no:..im at work today(*im on my break atm*) and im still not feelin right in my belly..i had something to eat but i didnt feel like it and felt a little sick afterwards..so im drinking a red bull atm..and still not feeling well and i feel a little bloated everytime i enhale..!
What could be wrong??:confused:

Hi Sezza88

You really should have tested to see if you were PG before going back on the pill

The pill can wreck havoc with your system if you go back on it, throw it right out, but also, you should stop taking the pill immediately if you are pregnant.

Take the advice of all the ladies on here, go and do a HPT! Or if you don't want to do that, go to the Doctor and ask for a blood test
