Brisbane Cloth Mums?

Hi Ladies

I was wondering if any clothies meet up in Brisbane for a coffee and nappy chat. Not a sales thing but just to compare notes and see what others have in their stash or find useful??

We had one a few months ago which was lots of fun so the BrisVegas clothies are out there and social (Gretel (OJandMe) was kind enough to do the leg work on getting us all together at once). And we got a couple of nice snaps at the end of the kidlets in their cloth.

I'd love to do another one but *sob* I've just gone back to work full time *sob* so unless its a weekend I'm out...

Buggar, don't you hate how work interferes with life:laughing:. I notice the Perth cloth mums have a great chat thread of their own so maybe we could think about doing that and meeting up from time to time when it suits everyone?:D

we went to the last cloth nappy meet and it was great. We would love to meet up with other cloth users too. Maybe we could do a saturday morning? just a thought...:)

The last one was meant to be at New Farm park coz it has good access to public transport and heaps of parking... but it was closed...


BUT it's now open again...

so that's an option.


Or if we got a 'regular' kind of group we could meet at each other's places??

New Farm Park sounds great, I haven't been there for ages! I took my class on an excursion and we stopped there at the massive playground for lunch. That was a few years ago though!

Saturday is good for me, not sure if dh will be into it though. He's still a bit, "why can't I use disposables?, what do i do with the poo? hey, he's got a cloth on, can you come and do it?" :hair: now i've got some mcn's he's coming round though, slowly!

Although I've got to say that my DH was always pretty brilliant at the whole 'switching to MCN' thing.

He 'tried' lol I give him credit for that.. I'll never forget the first morning he put a cloth nappy on the twins. I'd left out some BBB's and a PUL cover...

he put the BBB's on... but not the cover..

When I asked him about it.. he said-

"I put the other nappy you left out on... coz those ones look a bit thin, I don't think they'd hold much :no:"

And he doesn't have any problems with poo either.. :thumbsup:

Also, I wanted to let everyone know that some of the MCN makers are offering free nappies if you can work for a bit at the babies and kids expo:D. I am getting some freebies from Itti Bitti for doing 3 hours on Friday:smiliedance: (one nappy per hour).
