View Full Version : tonsilitis
i took my 6mnth old son to doctor today coz hes had a wee rash on arms, face and legs.well the dr thought it was just heat rash, but then looked at his throat.and he has tonsiltis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ive had it like 100 times and it really sux!!once u get it,u just keep getting it!!no im worried that he will have to get his tonsils taken out!!poor wee mite,i never ever would have guessed he had that!!hes been a bit bad sleeping lately but hes been so happy and smily!when i had tonsiltis i couldnt even get out of bed!my bubba is so brave!!
he can spread it just by coughing,so just a warning to u parents, check out ur bubba if they have a rash that wont go away.

My eldest gets tonsilitis every two weeks. She gets a rash over her arms, legs and behind her neck.
The doctor is now in the progess to get a referral to get them out, as she is on medication every two weeks and now they aint working at all.
Hope he gets better soon

Sorry to hear about your wee one! Hope he feels better soon...
My little girl has "suspected" tonsilitus as there is no pus as yet only very red and inflamed!
I too get tonsilitus and it is the most painful thing- babies are amazing though even through their pain they try to smile! Wish i was that brave lol:o
Hope you both have a peaceful night- my thoughts are with you

i had tonsilitis last week (still painfully there), then both my boys were unwell over the weekend, took them to the clinic and was told they both had tonsilitis but my youngest whose 5 months old wasn't getting any better with the medicine he was prescribed so we took him to the doctor last night and he now has bronchiolitis. i hate seeing them so sick.
my son was born with large tonsils that they nearly touched causing breathing dificulties and also made him susceptible to every bug. he had pnuemonia twice before he was 2. any way the reason i am posting is to let you know he recently got both tonsils and adnoids out, and he is fine, so if your child needs to go down that track try not to be scared. these days as long as the child eats breakfast the day after the op they go home straight away.
good luck, its not nice seeing your child sick
