We are due to have #2 in October, when ds will be 20 months old. We have decided we want to go with the twin jogger style pram. However, we have no idea which one:confused: So far, we have looked at a valco, mountain buggy and a couple of baby love ones. I'm so confused and don't really know what features to look for!? I have noticed that there are two baskets underneath instead of one big one and they are really small. I know this would really bug me!! Also, is it better to have one or two wheels at the front? A sales lady told us two is better, but not sure if she was just trying to sell the more expensive pram!

Ummmm, I guess I'm jsut after opinions of people who have used or are using atm, this type of pram........what do you sugest I look for and what have you found to be good/bad?? And, how on earth do you hang you nappy bag on it?????
We are wondering if this really is our best option, or are they really just better for twins?? We just aren't keen on the tandems or toddler seats. BUT, anyone who can recommend one, I'd love to hear!

I can't answer your question specifically - mine are 20 months apart and we decided against the twin jogger as it meant that when DD1 got older and wanted to walk everywhere we were stuck with a wide double pram for one baby. We went with the Phil and Ted's E3 combo which worked for us and will do the same for number 3 as the gap will be 26 months. It is not perfect but has a great baby/toddler set up and both of mine are happy to use either the front or back seats in it.

The other thing I was told, but I have no idea how accurate this is, is that twin prams are designed for twins - two babies of equal weight, rather than one heavier, and that this can cause them to be unstable. Hopefully someone with experience will come along to verify the truth of this statement. That might be why the two front wheels is better

That being said, when we only had one baby we had a single mountain buggy and I cannot rave about it enough - a great pram. If you decide to go with it watch ebay - there have been quite a few of them on lately for decent prices (when compared to the new ones).

My boys are 12 months, 10 days apart, so a double pram is a necesity. The first pram we bought was a limo style one...a babylove. It's ok, but our oldest is pretty large, so it's hard to steer with him in front. And the basket is nearly impossible to get to with the back seat laid down flat. Our oldest will be just over 2 when number 3 is born, so we decided we should get one of those skateboard thingies for DS1 to stand on....but on the limo style prams, the bar to attache them on is too far underneath the pram iykwim. So the other day we went and bought a babylove side by side pram. Haven't really used it yet, but the baskets are easy to get to, and it would be easy to attach the skateboard too. It's also easier to steer...and it's fine for babies of different ages..not just twins.

I've got a valco twin runabout and theres 2.5 years between my youngest and its perfect.

We've got the toddler seat attatchment for it as well and have all 3 kids in there... even DSS 4.5 fits in it nicely and it makes outings much easier!

We have no problems with it tipping or anything because it has two wheels at the front so its designed for uneven weight

It folds up quite compactly and fits in my small boot (92 camry)

Its REALLY easy to push too even with all three kids in - quite suprising actually!
