i posted this a while ago in the wrong area and didn't get much of a response. i am looking for some sort of social activity, like tennis or something crafty or bingo even (i don't care), or where you meet up with a regular bunch, and there is a creche availabe.
does anyone know of a tennis club that has social tennis with creche facilities, or anything that loosely fits the description above. i live in albion. i'm not really interested in a gym because that's a solo activity....prefer social stuff.
ALL ideas welcome
I am pretty sure that the Ten Pin Bowling Alley at Chermside has a creche, i am not sure how old your bub is but the YMCA at Lutwyche does kindergym classes I think it is from about 18 months, it is really fun and very reasonably priced.

thanks easterlilly. lutwyche ymca is literally down the road for me.....
You are welcome:) It is not really a social activity per se like tennis but it is a lovely activity for you and your bub to do together. They have a lot of fun, the teachers are nice, there is no pressure, and I have made a couple of friends there. We don't go anymore but I can recommend it.

the only thing is i have a DD as well, 9 months, who needs looking after.......so do you know if it would still work??
Well here in Perth there is a social group called B.A.D mums...I've forgotten what the BAD stand for tho.
Anyway, it is held at like a little community centre/civic centre and every week they do something different(crafts, they have someone come out to teach you different stuff like yoga, etc), and they have a creche for the bubs.
I'm not sure if you have anything like that where you are, but if you check out your shire/city/whatever website, it'll be on there if they do things like that.
We often get listings of when it's on in the local community newspaper, so maybe have a look in there and see if you can find anything :)
