Rugs!

I'm looking for a nice rug for Nugget's room. But I'm finding it hard to find kids rooms rugs on Australian sites (I haven't had a chance to leave the house in hunt yet...) does anyone know where I can look?

I'm not looking for playmats as such, just nice rugs/mats for the nursery floor :)

try garage sales.....
i bought 2 the other week... they are in EXCELLENT condition, would retail at a few hundred each, i got them for 15 each :)

I bought a pretty little rug for Elise at Brisbane Bubs in the homemaker centre in the Valley. They had a few different types there, also there were a few downstairs in the rug shop. Also, I bought some small round pink rugs for $25 in Ikea

That's the eBay store (http://stores.ebay.com.au/BugRugs-Floor-Coverings-for-Kids) :) only 5 there at the moment but they've been added to "my favourite sellers" :)

There are some gorgeous kids rugs places in america... I saw one and it said it was done by hand so then I stroked my chin and went "I could do some Rug Hooking.. I've done it before."
But once again, I try to google... and then I give up and realise it's a stupid idea anyway :laughing:

I am getting a sheepskin for the floor of my nursery from IKEA, they are only $65 I think. I dont have a lot of floorspace after all the furniture so this is perfect for me :thumbsup: I just love that teddy rug from Bugrugs though!

Yep thanks for the info, I will be keeping my eye out for a rug for ds and hey they are based in manly which is not too far from em, maybe they have a direct to the public warehouse???:D

If you don't need anything esp childish, a great cheap way to get a rug is to buy a carpet off cut.

I got one for our nursery for 50$ from a carpet place and then took it to an overlocker to cut it squre and edge it - total cost $75 for a 2 x 3 m rug. The smaller you want your rug, the more you'll have to choose from.

OMGosh I have just found the best ever web site for decorating bubs/kids rooms

www.decoratorscatalogue.com.au and you click on nursery/kids rooms and they list all these fab sites that have childrens decor etc, Ive just been checking it out for the last hour.....maybe some nice rugs too:D

I know i saw a few there the other week that were gorgeous !
Otherwise i agree with IKEA !

wow i just added that ebay shop everyone was talking about to ym fave sellers :D
i often see disney character rugs on ebay for cheap. there is a seller in sydeny who seems to sell alot of them i think their user anme is sydneyrugs or something
