whats easier

2month immunisations are coming up.

would it be easier if i can to breastfeed during it? or would she assosiate b/f with pain?

or give her to dh and have him do it since he is the one that wants it done...

for any one who did b/f did the immunisations effect the b/f in any way... thank you

It never affected my bf relationship with DS at all.

I usually give him the feed afterwards, for comfort. But he's a trooper, he never really cried during immunizations.

I was concerned that DD would associate the needle with pain so never tried to BF thru the actaul injecting. I popped her on as soon as it was finished to calm her down.

I was also worried that if I was feeding her, she was injected then started crying she might not take the boob back and then I wouldnt be able to calm her. So I thought it best to offer it after as a calmer.

I have bf dd during the shots and had no problems all she did was look up as if to say WTF was that then went back to feeding. She had her 6mth shots today and didnt want the boob (we were a little late) and she screamed the place down this time :( then propmtly threw up that drink they have now for gastro or whatever it is :(

She wanted the breast straight away though and shes quite happy

ym dd was ok with hers...
she screamed when she got them and turned blue... but i managed to calm her down by rocking her... and then she fell asleep in the car on that way home... i fed her when we got home... and she went to sleep again!!!

i think its different for every baby though and i think you need to do what you think is best for your child!!!
