Stupid Kooshies (sp?) nappies.
Leaky, bulky and just don't work, at all.
That's my rant for the day:p

 I love my kushies. I have never had a leak and I don't find them that bulky.
do you have genuine ones, they have a page on their website of the places that they have found selling knock offs.

Woops I just googled it and it's spelt Kushies.
But I got them off a website. They are also advertised in Practical Parenting.

I think its because of what they are made with :) a few layers of flannelette doesnt hold much in. Have you got any boosters you can put in the nappy to absorb a little extra? I bought one and it was a waste of money it is one of those nappies that need to be changed the minute bubs wees :(

baby brands and clever babies are the only two official ones in Australia.

Unless they are made of bamboo or hemp, they're gonna be rubbish.

I've just bought some too off a website (eek!) but the foldable flap on the inside can be filled with an insert. I was thinking of getting a good insert to go inside...Maybe that would help? I bought 10 of these for $100 which although is a lot, is not a lot in the grand scheme of things...
Try putting an added insert in, and maybe a fleece liner? (first post here! woohoo!)
As others have mentioned Kushies are mostly flannellette/terry outer and wadding stuff inner (they have been around for years - ie before modern cloth was popular here you could always get kushies fitteds from bigw) . Seriously you would have been better off getting a few of the higher priced nappies as the higher price usually reflects the materials that have gone into them.
You could probably get some use out of them by adding in a non bulky absorber . such as some microfibre cloth - back in the day a standard kitchen microfibre was a cheap and handy way of boosting nappies without adding too much bulk. Microfibre can NOT be put next to babies skin though as it will draw all the moisture out and irritate it .
A Hemp trifold is probably what your nappies will need to be useful but I really don't think it will fit..
A fleece liner won't actually absorb any of the wetness but if placed between babies bottom and the rest of the nappy it will help keep bub feeling a little drier.
mmm I think I may look at reselling mine on and investing in some better ones....thanks Roxy!

I'm buying lots of dif sorts of nappies to try.
Kushies just happened to be some that I bought.
But will not be making my stash up out of them.
The best nappies have the microfiber outer. Lovly soft and dry.;)
squiglet _ I think you are getting confused
Microfibre - is absorbant - think microfibre kitchen cloths for cleaning they absorb fluids like a sponge. Microfibre cloth should NOT be used on the inside layer next to baby as it shouldn't be next to skin OR the outside of a nappy as it will not be of any use on the outside.
Microfleece - is a variation of polar fleece which is a NON absorber - ie it does not soak up anything and therefore is great as a liner or an outer (although it's usually the more heavy duty malden mills type fleeces that are good for outers as normal polar and micro fleece will still have lots of pressure leaks as it's not thick enough - unless you superboost with hemp but that kind of nappy looks HUGE lol .)
Hope this clears up any confusion.
