Fast fetal heartbeat?

Hi everyone

I went for my first early scan yesterday and was dated at being 7 weeks and 2 days. They found the heartbeat which was great, and it was 164 bpm which the lady doing the ultrasound said was good. Is this not too fast?? I have been reading that it is normally between 130 and 160 at this time, and i know this is just over, but it just seemed a bit high? Probably just stressing as this is my first so i dont really know what the norm is! :wave:

Yep sound great to me too. I had a scan done at 11 weeks and my bub had a heart beat of 170 something... at 20 weeks bub had a heartbeat of 160 something....

With my DS his was always 150 something....

There is an old wise fale that a high heart beat is a girl and in my case it is :)

:wave: Yep my bubbas was 182bpm at the 7wk stage but unlike the wives tale im having a BOY!! It sounds fine but. Good luck.
