Well after I had ovarian cists rupturing and a major bleed I have been told by dr's to give work a break and get as much bed rest as possible. To make matters worse my car broke down last week and I am going nuts sitting here all day doing nothing. I injured my back and neck a few years ago and that has been playing up to so all I do is sit on the computer and watch tv (day time tv sux). Does anyone have any ideas on how to pass the time or even just want to chat? Please help put an end to my building boredom. It doesn't look like I will be up and out and about for weeks yet and I am already cook-coo:hair:

Oh wow that must be so boring!

Um...ideas for baby's room?
Make a pregnancy scrapbook? I did this with DS, first trimester, 2nd trimester, 3rd trimester, labour and birth, PP, breastfeeding...I had alot of pregnancy magazines and nowhere to put them so I cut them up hehe
Baking/cooking-At the moment my fun thing I'm doing :o is finding yummy recipes that I can try out on my hubby when we finally see each other again. :valentine: Try the Jamie Oliver website. I'm going to print them off into a book or something, haven't figured out what would look prettier. :D

That's all I've got for now, hope it helps!!!

O, you poor thing. I could imagine it must be incredibly boring being in bed all day (although, I'd love to give that theory a try right at the moment...).

If you have a graphics program on your computer like Paintshop or Photoshop, you could try digital scrapping (if you're that way inclined).

Or you could splash out on a good, long computer game.

Maybe a few good books...or one of those Women's Weekly puzzle books - very non taxing but keeps you occupied for a wee while.

Or invite your friends over for a "come & talk to me while I'm in bed" party. Hehehehe.

Ooh yeah, some books. Are you able to go to the library or do you have to be at home 24/7?

Maybe you could google the new books from your favourite author and get your hubby to give the list to the librarian. :p

Ok Puzzle books, cross stitch sampler for bub, knitting, reading and TV were what got me through my pregnancy bed rest.

I have a few small cross stitch kits lying around, PM me if you would like to try one!

I didn't even think of cross stitch. I have already got our family bassinet and it came with alot of plain sheets. I love the Classic Winnie the Pooh I could stitch some prints on. That will hopefully take me awhile. Thank you.

I spent alot of my last pregnancy painting our house, including the new nursery. It's not all that strenuous with a roller or brush. I did some feature walls too. Of course this is only a good idea if you own your home and it needs painting

Another suggestion... are you quite crafty? You could make some things for bubs like a cot quilt, blankets, clothes, toys, cloth nappies etc. Or you could buy a cross stitch kit and do that for bubs nursery.

I was on total bed rest in hospital for the last three weeks of my last pregnancy. the nurses yelled if I walked more than the bathroom. For me it was the computer (thanks DH for buying me a laptop) with games and DVDs, books, knitting, tv (stupid hospital no foxtel), sleeping when I could and visitors.

right now I would love to be stuck in bed, but when it happens, I get over it very quickly.

:smiliedance: I'm going to be doing that when I get home! I have a ton of MCN fabrics to make into nappies before I have to pack up and move to Brissy! :D

i was put in hospital with last pregnancy for 7 weeks bed rest, went slowly crazy, i learnt how to knit, someone brought me a book of 500 word finds, now that kept me busy, i also kept a diary of everyday of my pregnancy and learnt scrapbooking. I have been told that it will prob happen again this preg, so i am going to make sure over the next couple months i find as many things as possible to take with me.
