what age?

hey there i was just wondering how old you were (if that not too rude) when you had your first child im trying to talk my other half into at least 2 more im 30 now but want to have a big family but worried that i might have left it a bit too late will definatly get in 1 more but what age is considered to old i know that most poeple ae having their 1st at my age or older but im just worried about the riskfactor in having more at this age

I don't think that age has anything to do with when you have your children. I was 22 when I had my 1st, 27 when I had my 2nd, I then divorced and met my DP and was 37 when we had DD. I am currently 38 but will be turning 39 a few weeks before #4 is due.

As long as you are healthy and can love and cherish your children, age doesn't matter. Do what your heart tells you....if you want more kids, go for it.

i had 3 by the time i was 22 divorced at 30 then remarried had 2 more my last one just before i turned 35. age is a state of mind if you want them it doesn't matter how old you are as long as the kids are cared for and loved besides they keep you young when they aren't giving you grey hairs lol

HI ....I have 10 children I was 18 when I had my first Child ... Melissa 1988 Jamie 1989 Dylan 1993 Corey 1996 Tayla 1999 April 2002 Zowie 2003 Kyle 2004 Dekota 2005 River 2007 I also gave birth to twin girls in 2000 but we lost them so I have had 11 pregnancy's since I was 18 last year old I had my last child last year and I turned 41...

Back to original question - I had my first 10 days after I turned 31 and will have my 3rd about 1 month after I turn turn 35.

I really do not want to put my body through a 4th pregnancy as I have found this one to be a bit tougher. I also do not want to be in the "baby stage" when I am 40.

And I'll have just turned 25 when I have my fourth in Feb!!

My mum had me at 21, my brothers at 28 + 30 and then she had my sister when she was 39 [a year after I had my first]. I don't really think age should be a factor. Especially at 30!! That's still pretty young :thumbsup:

You are still young. You haven't left it too late. I started at 24, and was finished at 30, but I still won't rule another one out completely. If it took until I was 45, I would have had 4 kids.

I think you are never too old for a bubby. I had a lot of pressure from my family saying, how hard our life will be with more than 2 because society only provides for 2 adults and 2 kids.

I think you know when you are done. I thought I would NEVER not be 'clucky' but since having our 4th DS 14mths ago I no longer look at newborns with the same yearning. I think we are done...and feel very blessed to have 4 beautiful children. There is always a smile or hug from someone. It is busy but very rewarding.
