View Full Version : Why do babies/toddlers vomit when they are not sick?
DS just woke up and puked up his dinner (noice, hoorah for multiple sets of sheets and jamies). He was a bit upset after his puke but we change the sheets, cleared up the floor (hoorah for wood floors), changed his jamies, offered him some water and I've just put him back in his cot after falling asleep in my arms. He doesn't have a temp and seemed fine afterwards. He may have eaten too much but would that make a baby/toddler puke? Not little newborn pukies, big pukies.

Eating too much can definately make him have a vomit. DD has done that before!! She can be a little piggy sometimes!

My DS does the odd vomit here and there  without being ill. If he has a big day out somewhere or he has eaten to much during the day, we are lucky enough to see lunch again.
Afterwards he is fine and more often than not asks for food afterwards. I have never been game to give him food for a while after.

He could have eaten too much, eaten too fast, had a big drink afterwoods/during, not chewed properly..
Lots of reasons, Hope you have both recovered.. :hugs:
