new to IVF

great website...we're new to the forums, and came across it on google. my partner and I have just started on our IVF journey this year. she's 29 and I'm 36, and i'm having her egg transferred into me. so this way i'm the birth mother of her biological child and we thought this is a great way of starting our little family.

we harvested 31 eggs on 19/05/2008, and ended up with 15 blastocysts, one transferred and 14 frozen. we're supposed to have pregnancy test on 4/6/2008 but couldn't wait until then, and did HPT yesterday...:bfp:
so we did the naughty thing and begged the GP to do a blood PT.

and it's positive !!!! :smiliedance:

now waiting for our first scan! good luck for everyone out there trying, here's :fingerscrossed: for all of us...and lots of :babydust2:

^^ congratulations on th BFP. When is your baby due?
My DP and myself have a 3 yr old DD and are now on our 2nd IUI attempt. We had 3 IUI attempts last year, all :bfn:, than IVF with 10 Blasto, all:bfn:. Changed FS, now doing IUI again. Have just had 1st IUI of 2 this cycle, next IUI tomorrow morning.

I have done 2 ICIS cycles we have 5 eggs on ice .. we will be changing FS & seeing him on the 17th JUly & will be going again hopefully in august .. so I hope this time will be our lucky one ... :shakehands: let me know how it goes

Our Baby is due on the 10th Feb. We are really excited but I know it is only early days so I am trying not to get too ahead of myself, although it is hard not too!

What a fantastic way of doing things too - I like the idea of you both being connected biologically. :)

Feb 10th is a great due date (if you go two days early your bub could be born on my birthday!! :laughing:)

Yes we were so excited when the FS said I could have my partners eggs transfered. We both feel very connected to the baby.

I was told today my baby is due on the 8th Feb not the 10th! (Your birthday!):)

^^ everything went well. Alot of cramping this time but hoping that it is a positive sign. BT due on the 17th June. Having accupuncture tomorrow and sat as FS said that embryo would be implanting then. Staying positive and trying not to think about it to much, very busy at work at moment so that helps.

Try and enjoy every feeling that you and your DP are experiencing, it is a great time in anyones life. My DP and I still talk about life PC (pre-child) and while we were preggies, our DD is now 3 1/2 and we don't know where that time has gone, they grow up so quickly.

Our DD was asking me tonight if I "ate" the baby, she couldn't work out how the baby got into my belly, Hopefully she knows something we don't yet.

Anyway best b off. Catch up again soon.

omg congrats on ure BFP, i too love that connection u guys will have with the baby, after 2 years we too have started the process of my DP carrying for me, but we have to gotta go a few more turns with me as my recent surgery has helped.
ure story is very reassuring.

i too go to anne, have been for 2 years. love the interior designer.

HI Miss M, sorry didnt get back to you .. I am quite bad & look at this site at work as I dont have computer at home .. at times I get carried away I love bub Hub ...

thanks I am feeling quite happy about it .. we are goingt see Dr howard Smith at westmead ... I have heard great thing about him so I really hope it works out as we would love it to ... alot cheaper than the other clinic at parramatta ... plus we are going to try Chinese med & accupunture ... both DH & i ..

Hi there,

kte - yes bub hub is very addictive. it's great to be able to talk about your experiences and spread all the good news and hope to one another.
It sounds like you have a great plan in place, a fresh start and hopefully well and truely pregnant by the end of year.

Today I am feeling good, cramping has slowed right down from one-two every half hour to one every few hours.
Tonight I felt a little sick and full, didn't feel like having dinner although I did anyway. I just hope I don't get sick at work until at least 12 weeks otherwise they will be wondering what is going on :)

katiana - Carrying and nurturing the baby is the most important thing to me and being able to have my partners baby....well it totally tops it off. I feel so lucky right now and on :cloud9:. That is great to hear you are going to transfer your egg to your partner like we did. It really is a joint effort isn't it.
Our experience with Anne has been great so far, :iagree:the clinic is designed beautifully and the garden is lovely too.

MrsMiggins - lol we will have an online birthday party!
