Hi guys, Just a couple of questions. I am 25 wks preg with my second bub and for the last few days i have been really sore around the groin area , almost like i have pulled all the muscles... tho i dont remember doing anything that could have caused this. Has anyone else had these kind of pains???

Also and this is a not so nice question... when i sit (mainly on the toilet) it looks as tho everything is going to come busting out of me (sorry i know os gross). Im just worried that it might be the baby being to far down.. or is this not possible. i dont have my next midwife appointment for 2 weeks and i am a little worried. Bub is VERY active so i know that he is probably healthy but i dont remember this happening with my last pregnancy.

Any info you guys can give me would be great. Sorry again for the crude questions.

Hiya!

I can only help with your first question and when I was pregnant, from weeks 20 until birth I had the worst muscle pulled pain in the groin area and it only got worse! I was told that it has to do with the muscles relaxing more in preparation for birth so although you haven't actually pulled any muscles, it feels like you have! The worst is when you get bigger and try and get out of bed at night after lying down for a bit!!!

Hi
I also had this with second pg. It sounds scary, but it just means your ligaments are relaxing and not holding your pelvis together properly. You can compensate by using your muscles and a physio will be able to help you with that. One visit to the physio kept this totally manageable for me, but if you let it go, it may get serious. Get a reference for a good physio from your OB and they should be able to help you.
