there are so many little things that you just don't think of. I started buying them a bit at a time once I knew I would be moving out so that I would be ready.

pots and pans
plates and cups
glasses
cutlery
tea towels
tongs, big spoon, masher, can opener, wine bottle opener

the little bit foods - salt, pepper, sauce, flour, sugar, coffee, tea....

towels, sheets, pillows, bed

cleaning products, mop, bucket, cloths, vacuum, iron, ironing board.

not to mention - table, chairs, couch, tv

think about the stuff that use at home.

don't go out and buy the best of everything you need all at once. buy things as you need them, and don't feel you have to buy brand new furniture for your first place. Second hand stuff does the job while you save you money for long term furniture.

when we moved over here we started all over again, and the little things we forgot were pegs and a can opener - so make sure they are on your list lol. Its the little things that get forgotten!
