She is expecting her second little girl!!! it is really exciting!

Yeah i have heard the BHx get stronger with each pregnancy to, this is rediculus (sp?)! Im not worried as i know what labour feels like, and these dont feel like that, just very tight. and make me need to breath, to someone watching me they could think i was in labour, cause i need to stop and breath slowly... sometimes every couple of minutes.... geez im having one right now!

Oh how exciting for her!!! I have my fingers crossed that it's a quick and easy delivery for her and bub!

I sometimes have to breath through mine with DH feeling how tight my stomach gets and makes the appropriate 'oooooohhh' noises LOL... the amount of time I have had these, this baby should just slip right out of the most toned uterus on earth ...i find I can set a BH off as well by just rubbing cream on my stomach sometimes... obviously the uterus is just as irritable as I am :p

:yelclap: Congrats to your friend Mickie keep us posted

I have had my first braxton hicks today (I think) I'm not sure what they feel like but these were little niggly pains in my pelvis that dont just feel like bub is moving. I had to stop what I was doing when it was happening. Does that sound like them? They arent frequent either I had 3 pains in 15 mins and then nothing

haileye- i hope you are feeling bette, maybe it is time to slow down alittle?

yep the physio said the same thing, but I am now wearing a maternity support belt to hopefully help relive some of the pain along with a few simple exercises, I have a follow up appointment next week to see how things are going.

also midwife app this morning was great, found out that bubbys head in down and that he is in possition hopefully he won't come too soon. Also the leaking that I had mentioned in an earlier post is from stress on my bladder :o
so lukily it wasn'[t more serious than that.

Im off to bed too, but i have to ask, is anyone going to the brissy Baby expo? im going on friday

Yep I am going with my mum and my sister on Friday, I'm hoping that its like the one I went to in NZ, we got lots of freebies there!!

On a down side, I had to take my niece up to the hospital today as she was bitten on the face by my aunties dog.... would have prefered to take her last night but she wouldn't go in the car because she was sooo upset. So after dealing with all that I got home and called the council to lodge a complaint. Not that I want my aunty to lose her dog, but she wasn't going to do anything about it, she has just said sorry and in her defence keeps saying that she told Jordan to be careful because the dog might bite... In my opinion, its all about prevention... if she knew the dog might bite then she should have put the dog outside to begin with.

Just goes to show that even the most friendliest and placid of dogs can still have a nasty streak in them.
This could possibly go to court so I don't think we will be very popular if it does...

Oh well too bad is all I can say. Maybe my aunty will learn her lesson.

Thanks for all the advice on the Raspberry Leaf girls! Just wanted to get the general feel. I will ask my OB for sure when I see her nxt week, but it seems like 32 weeks onwards is the concesus!

Kat - Keg is so adorable! I love Staffy's! My aunty used to have one called Zoe and she was just beautiful. He is a beautiful colour too! I bought Tully a purple collar and a new purple bone shaped ID tag for her birthday! And tomorrow she is going to the groomers (Her first time!) for a wash and a clip as she has a very long coat which is a bit out of control at the moment!

Well, I had an interesting afternoon! The car wouldn't start this morning! :banghead: So I rang DH and he said he will check it out when he gets home. Rang my friend who picked me up and we went for a nice lunch! Then I got home and thought.....I'm pretty sure the car just needs a battery and I have RAA roadside assistance....maybe I will just call them! So...I did! They came in 1/2 an hour - I was impressed and replaced the battery....$140.00 later....but at least now I have a car that starts and can go get some groceries for dinner! :smiliedance:

I find that most of the time they dont hurt at all, it more kinda makes you breathless, like, as i think pink put it ages ago, like you are getting out of the pool. sometimes they hurt alittle when they are really tight.

Danielle - Good move I say! I am only working till 33 weeks and I don't think I'll even make it till then! Have spoken to my boss about taking my last week that I'm supposed to be working off! What do you do? Is it heavy work? I am a nurse and the ward I work on is currently the heaviest/busiest it's ever been in the 5 years I've worked there! You have got to look after yourself and bubs.

I have noticed a growing trend ladies....We are all tired and run down and probably doing too much! Time for us all to slow down a bit I think!

Hey there! I also made the decision, well hubby and i did, to finish early. i am finishing at 30 weeks, i work with children and it is just getting too much for me. so i have 2.5 weeks left! yay! Can't wait! I think if you feel like you need to finish up earlier you should!

Just a quick check in for me.

I am feeling absolutely exhausted the last few days. I am putting it down to working more than usual in the last 2 weeks. I am thinking of finishing work earlier than I was going to. I am only casual, so it is a matter of me telling them I am not available anymore.

I went to the Dr's last week and my BP was up, not sure if it was a one off or not. I have never had any issues with any of my previous pregnancies. So the Dr, who I work with at the hospital told me to get them to check it in maternity. So I went up yesterday and it was completely normal, so i am saying it was a one off reading. I also had a fundal height of 33cm at 26 weeks! It was the same with my last pregnancy though (I measured 34 at 26 weeks, so I am not too concerned). I have my GTT next week and back to see the Dr in another 3-4 weeks.

My sister was up on the weekend with her new baby girl who is nearly 4 weeks old. She is so small and gorgeous. It makes me so excited that I will have a baby very soon (not as small as hers though I am sure). DD was also a big help and was very excited about her new cousin. I hope she is the same with a new sibling.

So that is my little story for now. I have to go to bed, so tired.

Mia

My boss wants me to work until 39 weeks
which in a way is easier than being at home because it's desk work versus house and toddler work, but we'll just have to play it by ear.

Someone was asking about the head down position and when that becomes significant. I think in the next month or so 95% of bubs will settle into head down position once and for all, and then they stay there because they know they have to! (and because they run out of room to flip). So the next month is a really good time to get cranking on Optimal Foetal Positioning if you haven't already and if you want to have a normal birth.

OK Mia - time for some education here  How do you actively position your baby with "Optimal Foetal Positioning" ? Our little one has been lying diagonally across my belly the whole time - head up under my ribs on the right hand side, feet down on the left hand side dancing on my bladder :hair: I have heard of the spinning baby website and many different techniques to try turning the baby when it gets later on, but I didn't realise I should be thinking about it already - I'm 28 weeks and thought we had a while to go for Bubs to turn on his/her own:confused:

Hmmm....

Morning Everyone

Danielle - If your body is telling you to slow down and you can afford to then do it. You and bubs are way more important. And that goes for everyone :) (including me).
My OB recommends finishing around 34 weeks. I am planning to keep going until 37 weeks, but she has made me stress to work that I may not make it that long and that we may need to be flexible. I pretty much have them agreeing to anything to have me stay as long as I can :D - but we'll see how they go when the crunch comes.

Sarah - Keg is cute (if I say so myself), but he's was a pain in the butt last night! When he's bored at night time and can't sleep he's just taken to charging at doors thinking with enough persistence he will get through them and find me so we can play. So I kept on waking up to these big thuds! :hissy: So there I am at 4am pushing furniture across the doors so he can't get to them. It must have been a sight!

I've been thinking - apparently storing fat in preparation for feeding is normal (and my butt and thighs are doing a very good job of it). But what happens if feeding doesn't work out? Does the fat go away on it's own or do you have to work twice as hard to get rid of it?

i have been thinking the same thing (my butt and thighs are doing the same thing), infact made enquires about a class that you can go to with bub 3 times a week for one hour....

I hope feeding does work though :)

Hope everyone has a good day, (i feel like going 2 sleep already HAHA)

I will pm my number to you.

Yeah she is doing ok now, but you can that she is not her self, yesterday at the hospital she kept trying to hide behind me or my sister and she was very smoochy. when she see's other kids she normally runs off to play with them but it took her ages to go and play.

Unfortunately there is a situation between my dad and my uncle and dad doesn't like to make waves, so he made us with draw the complaint from the council. (sometimes I think he's only ever concerned about how a situation is going to affect him)

My aunties sons are not very happy about the situation of us going to the council, but I don't think they realise how serious a dog bite can be. especially on a child, I wouldn't be suprised if lil miss Jordan is scared of black dogs for a long time.

Question: does any one know if you are alowed to have pedicures????
my mum is saying that I'm can't have one, she reackons that massaging the feet or something...
I really want to go have a pamper session, I was lucky enough to get a free haircut yesterday from my hairdresser since I did a hair up for her because she hates doing them.
I want to have everything done before I have bubs cause there will be no way I will get to have pamper sessions after bubs is born for a while.

i plan on working up until 38wks, only beacaus i havent had any complications (touch wood) and i work in a call centre so work doesnt but any stress on my body.

im going to have a rant
yesterday was my day off so i decided along with a million other things i had to sort out, i would go and have my gloucose test and have normal GP checkup at the same time.
the medical centre my GP is in has a pathology deparment as well, so i rang to check what time my GP was on and was told 7pm-10pm so i asked what time pathology close. they close at 7.30pm.

i thought this would work out really well as you cant put your name down to see a doctor until 15mins before they start, as they dont take any sort of bookings

i thought ok i will head down at 6.30pm have the drink for test then wait till 6.45 to register to see my GP.

so i do the drink part, go around to the counter to put my name down and get told sorry we arent taking any more names as there was already a 3 hour wait............. :banghead: i was confussed and asked how that can be when he doesnt start for 15mins and registration should have only just started. the receptionist tells me he started at 6!!!!! the lady on the phone said 7 TWICE.

i was nearly in tears cause i wont be able to get back for probably another week and i had already had gloucose drink so had to wait around for an hour.

it doesnt end there..........
i wait around and one of my friends comes to keep me company. every time i have to get a BT i let them know i have small veins and that everytime they have trouble finding one big enough or end up having to use a babies needle. as per usual they just ignore me.
so the needle goes in my right arm then she takes it out a little while later, i look over at the tube...... no blood, the lady goes oh i got a vein put the needle in but the vein went down will have to try your other arm. so now i look like a real junkie as i bruise easy and both insides of my arms are bruised.

well thats my rant for today :smiliedance:

hope everyone is well

:hugs: that sounds like one very annoying day!!

I know the feeling i am the same. i tell them every time i go in that i always have trouble but they never listen... :shame:

i had an arguement with a doctor once when i was in hospital because he stuck the needle in 10 times and couldnt get any thing out and i was saying to him there is a vien right there see.... when i refused 2 let him do it again, and made him put the needle where i said.. he was like oh looks like i found one!! (talk about looking like a junky after that):banghead:

Question: does any one know if you are alowed to have pedicures????

I had one at 3.5mths (I had a manicure, massage & facial too - bliss!) and the place told me it was ok. I even had the parafin wax. I think it gets down to the products they use, so it would be worthwhile to ask them (if you trust them enough).

Oh Danni! What an ordeal! :hugs:

Hmmm I will have to ask my friend about the pedicures because she does remedial massage and said something about not having my feet massaged....something to do with lymphatic drainage and pushing toxins back into the body... might pay to have a look around on google about it too.... :)

Lost what I wrote!:banghead:

Anyways, had my OB appointment today, bubs head is down as well. Blood pressure was good, and OB was happy that I had put on 2 kilos after not putting anything on for the last 2 months!. Bloodtest came back normal so I dont have Gestational diabetes and my iron levels are really good too!. Bubs heart beat was 149, and cooperated this time so he found it first time!.

I had much more written earlier, but now im just too tired... will catch up on personals later

Wow, I'm gone for a few days and there are 12 pages to catch up on! Just as well I can read fast. ;)

I have decided that I'm going to pack my sleeping bag and camp out at the hospital for the next week as I'm going to be there so often. Tomorrow I have to be there for a GCT, Friday for Anti D injection, Monday for a Paed appointment, Tuesday for 4D u/sound and Thursday for OB appointment. :hair: Monday is the most important appointment for me as I will find out what plan of attack is being put in place for when Baby Oops is born. :fingerscrossed: it's a good plan so I can finally enjoy this pregnancy without any fear.

Sorry for not doing any personals......Jasmine has already deleted everything I typed (this is the 2nd attempt) and I'm gonna hit Submit before she gets her little fingers at the keyboard again. :D

Afternoon, well I thought I had an OB appt today (I am the biggest der brain right now), got to appt @ 10am (after sitting in the car for 1/2 hr as Nick and I had nothing else to do) and was told my appt is actually Friday and come back at 12:15pm and they will fit me in. Get there at 12:15pm and OB isn't even there yet but due any minute, 45mins passes again and told he is on his way...after an hour or so I leave as I have to get James and Nick is getting really tired. So no appt! I am cursed with appt's this pg. I only have 3 entries on my card, it is just a hassle seeing someone.

KatieLou - Bassinet skirt or valance, hope this helps. Make sure you get one for a bassinet and not cradle. I just got 3 sets of sheets in the post today from Ebay and 2 are tiny, they are obviously for a Bassinet but were listed as Bassinet/Cradle, so keep an eye on your sizes.

Dantaz - If it can be arranged, finish work early, your body wants the rest and is calling on you to rest .

AmyLou - 2.5 weeks, u must be thrilled!

Vanilla - Glad to hear your BP is fine, your sisters little girl sound so petite and cute :goodvibes:.

KatieLou - Fat stores are normal and lots of people refer to them as reserves that are needed for a b/f mum. B/f definitely helps a lot to get the weight off. If mum bottle feeds than whe will probably have to work a little harder at getting the weight off as bub won't be drinking all those fat stores away.

Haileye - That is terrible about your niece, I hope something is sorted out soon.

I had a pedicure voucher given to me when I was last pg and read somewhere that massage between the toes can cause early labour or something like that as there are pressure points there?? Could be worth double checking.

Have to stop doing personals, Nicholas's nappy is hanging low to the ground .

Judy it's great to see you have some computer time...even though those little fingers are fiddling with your typing! I'm looking forward to hearing how Monday's appt goes... It will make you more comfortable... you may as well camp out at the hospital...lol... hope they have a nice cafe there with yummy food ;)

Loz you must have been :banghead: :hissy: about your appt... I don't like waiting around either...will you keep Friday's appt now? Make sure they haven't cancelled it on you!

Yep the hospital has a brand new cafe with loads of yummy food so I'll be perfectly fine if I camp out there but I'd be broke within a few days as the food isn't exactly cheap.....there is free parking though so the $ I save on parking can be wasted on food hehehe cakes, slices, wraps, and more....yummo!

Loz don't you just love the nappies that hang low? LOL I'm so glad that I don't have that problem atm.....you can have it all to yourself

Hi ladies, hope we all had a good day today! My day was good, went to work and spent the whole time sending letters to families (very unusualy for my job as i normally work with the children!) Day went very quickly which was good! On top of that my boss told me that i can take friday off as a sick day so that was even more exciting! This is my last permanent week and the following two weeks are just casual, so it means that i get to use up one of my sick days before i lose them! Very nice of her i thought!

Re: Pedicures - i'm not sure about whether or not they are allowed when pregnant but my husband always massages my feet for me (maybe 3 times a week) and everything is fine... touch wood!

When i got home i received my package from JK, someone on here gave us the free postage code! got some really cute things, 2 shirts, a pair of pants and 2 pairs of sneakers for $37.80! Bargain!

Sorry for the long post ladies, got a bit carried away!

Hi Lisa, I should keep the appt, I kind of left in a hurry and the receptionist must have told him when he arrived as he personallly phoned my house and left a message asking me to re-book.

Now I'm the one that feels like the impatient pg woman that can't wait for anything.

Somehow, I feel bad about him being lat now .

Judy - That is a lot of appt's, good luck getting juggling all the times etc, I know how hard it can be with a little one. Looking forward to hearing all your results.

Kayls

i believe OFP (optimal fetal postioning) in all about changing your 'life style' to help your baby settle into the correct position, so the earlier you start the better chance of having bub choose a head down antior (babys back to mothers front) position

Well we had a teddy bear picnic at the school today, then i had to go to the parent teacher interveiw :thumbsup:she is doing really well, the only thing that needs work is that she does not understand that she cant be the leader ALL the time! she is just so self confident, that she does nto understand that other ppl can take on that role...oops, gee her entire life i have been told to try to help her have good self esteam etc, and now she has such great self esteam!!!! lol
But Jeromie wanted to go to the teddy bear picnic but he was at child care so we had one at home once we were back:)
But they are not hungery for dinner...oops:D

May I ask what your baby birth weight was last time? DD was 6.7 3 weeks early, didn't think anything of it til now. My bub measured 32cm at 24 weeks & I'm wondering if that means we are going to have a really big baby, also was your bub still transverse on the measurement? We thought maybe it was a heap of fluid but alas after a 4d scan she is just chubby hehe

My last baby was 3620g (7pd 15oz roughly I think), so no not a big baby. Must have just been the way I was carrying her. I am hoping it will be the same this time. I definitely popped out a lot quicker, so maybe it is my poorly toned tummy or possibly just because it is my 3rd! I am not sure whether my bub was transverse or not.

We haven't even begun to think of names yet. After next weeks ultrasound we will have to seriously hook into finding a name for Baby Oops. Choosing DD's name took us ages so who knows how long we'll take to work out a name this time. Arrrrggghhhhh I don't like this part.

Liam's bedroom furniture was delivered yesterday, so today it is setting up Liam's new room (that was the play room), moving all the toys into the 3 x kids rooms and lounge room, sorting out Yasmine's room so it can fit all the toys, and (most exciting of all) sorting all the baby clothes and gear out and setting up the nursery (previously Liam's room!).

 Morning everyone

Sissy - what a big day you have! Be sure to not over do it or else you won't be moving for days.

Mixy - I like Carter, but you don't have to listen to me

Kellie - great to see you back in here. I hope to see more of you.

Judy - enjoy camping at the hospital :)

Loz - to baby brain. Hopefully you get the time right for the next one. Don't feel bad - I do that too, start feeling bad for doing something when I wasn't the one at fault in the 1st place.

Me - I suddenly had tummy/intestinal probs last night which saw me having to lie down all night and not interested in eating. When I go up in the night and it was still there I started worrying that it was a sign of pre-labour, but obviously I didn't worry too much as I went straight back to sleep :D

30 weeks for Georgia and I today! :smiliedance: It sounds stupid but I hadn't thought past 30 weeks (I've been setting little goals in my head as 40 weeks is such a long time), but now I don't know what to aim for!

Really like this one, Mickie.

 Good Morning all....

How is everyone?

I have a weird question about baby's movements... he/she has been an active little bugger the last week (which is good!) but i have had two weird movements in the last week... almost like a shudder, very fast and shakey. It was very brief but definitely shuddery.... has anyone else had that...

And yet there is still so much to do - and I can't do any of it yet! Gee I wish the furniture would hurry up!

I don't know about your shudders - maybe it's running and jumping on some organ like kids run and jump on mattresses and the house shakes? :) I used to get that weightless feeling sometimes - you know like on a rollercoaster when you leave your belly at the top but you are down the bottom. But it wasn't my belly that was left at the top - it was baby - like it's stage diving or something. Hard to explain but it's the best I can do...

Pink - I had the same thing last night! 2 in a row actually. VERY strange indead and had me thinking oh no what has happened. He's very quiet today so far, so perhaps it was a really big yawn!

Hi to everyone else. I have been reading the posts but just don't have much to say! I'm 27 weeks now and having the glucose test this saturday. I have to have the full test because I have PCOS, 3 BT's in 2 hours, not liking that one bit! But at least that's another mile stone out of the way. I can't beleive how close we are to meeting our little people!! Also already on fortnight visits to the OB due to high BP, but otherwise everything is going well. Cheeky little thing kept kicking the doppler and the doctors hands off me last week. Was like he was saying no other mans hands are to be on MY mummies tummy! Was very cute and had us all in stiches trying to listen to the heartbeat.

PinkAngel
26-06-2008, 08:37 AM
I know what you mean!

Just found an obgyn website where some Ob's answer questions. A couple of ladies asked the same question about the occasional flutter and they said it's normal. It's like a body spasm or shudder and it is seen in newborns sometimes too. Smudge might have been twitching or waking from a dream (how cute!)... Thanks for your help!

I said to DH last night I wonder if I will get more nervous when my ticker reaches single digits... how do you feel?

My furniture hasn't arrived either...was due in last weekend after being on order 3 mths... cot is still MIA... oh well can always do what my mum did with my elder sisters...put bub in a drawer with a blanket...lol...

Feeling quite tired today... work is going to be a struggle today... end of financial on top of end of mth... not the best week to feel

Yay i'm not the only one :D it's an odd feeling isn't it...

3 BT's in 2 hours? Ouchy.... do we even have that much blood ;) How funny with your bubby and the doppler.. maybe it's a little cold and bubs is booting it off too LOL

Hi Crafty. I didn't realise PCOS put you at higher risk of GD. I have PCO's, but not the syndrome, I wonder if that put me in the high risk category? Oh well, I'll find out my results tomorrow, but as I haven't heard from my OB I'm guessing that they are ok. Good luck with all of your BT's - you'll feel like a pin cushion after all 3 of them!

I said to DH last night I wonder if I will get more nervous when my ticker reaches single digits... how do you feel?

I feel like i should be more prepared! Oh well. We have a bassinet which I might set up soon, and we have clothes, they just need a wash. i have asked my sister to race around to my house and wash the clothes if the baby comes early :) So we'll be ok, just not as prepared as I would like to be.

How much longer do they think your furniture will be Pink?

Yeah, end of fin yr is going to be hard - that hits me next week - right now is the calm before the storm. I have a stack of frozen meals ready so I just have to work and sleep. Hopefully it's just one big week and doesn't spill over into the next ones very much (last years end of yr was horrible!). Then July is always a mess....

Morning Girls!

All good here! Went to see The Sex & The City movie with one of my GF's last night and it was great! Drank a Coke (didn't even think not to!!!) - BIG mistake! Bubs was up all night booting me and doing massive sommersaults and poking me! He/She tends to favour my right side - so it is a bit sore today! Will not be drinking that much coke late at night again!

Took my doggy Tully to the groomers yesterday and had her all clean and trimmed - she looked just gorgeous and got to spend almost the whole day inside! (very unusual as she's almost always filthy!) Then when I went out to see her this morning she is covered in mud! :hissy: My mum just laughed and said she can't wait to see what I'm like with my kids! She is right! I will be one of those mums that is continuosly fixing/brushing hair etc. I am a little OCD at times!

Mixy - I love Rylan! That was on our list. Levi is very cute too!

Everything else is good. Back to work this arvo, so will prob catch up with you ladies tomorrow!

Well, the meals are for while DH is away. I make a stack of something (say Spag Bol or a casserole) and freeze single portions as last time he was away I found it too much to cook, clean up, rest and make the dog feel loved every night. So this time I'm prepared! I'm going to be so sick of the same food by the time he comes home, but that's ok I guess.
DH is ok, his arm is getting better. He'll be home tomorrow :smiliedance:

Sex & the City is really good! Take your tissues!

Omg, pink angel, I totally got shudders from the baby during the night last night and it worried me a bit too! It was sort of like light kicking but really rapid and fluttery. Maybe it's something about the age they have reached?

Well DP and my baby boy have taken off this morning and I am HOME ALONE for four days! Omg! I was/am looking forward to it, but then I felt a bit teary at the airport. I'm happy for everyone though and glad Rip is spending some time with his other relatives.

And me? Well I'm off to the dayspa of course! Massage, facial, pedicure and labour. JUST KIDDING.

 ladies!

Kat you won't know yourself once DH gets home...you'll be back on :cloud9: again and doubly excited now that you're into the single figure countdown.

Lisa I have had those shuddery feelings as well but I basically dismissed them as I have had them with the other 3. I just put it down to Baby Oops kicking his way around in order to get comfy. I bet you're thinking 'thank goodness for Google'.....it might just be your sanity saviour atm hehehe

Mia make sure you enjoy your 4 days of 'me time'. Your DP is a very thoughtful one to give you time out before bubs arrives. Try not to miss Ripley too much and think of all the extra cuddles you will receive when he gets home.

Smiley I have had m/s off and on for ages. One day I'm fine and the next I feel queezy.....it's no fun at all.

Lately my little terror has been stretching the legs right out and sticking them under my ribcage making me feel terribly uncomfortable. DS1 used to do it but he was worse so I can handle this one so far. I wonder how Baby Oops is going to go once I have to drink that gross glucose stuff this arvo.

thanks everyone.. i did hear it returns at 3rd tri.. i dont feel queezy i actually throw up bile type stuff in the mornings... every morning.... i did that till week 22 then it stopped till this week..... every day this week its happened... oh well... only 11 more weeks of it....

forgot to say im going to the baby expo on sat too.. cant wait... i thinks its gonna be busy that day....

pink i think ive been getting those feelings too... always put it down to her getting herself comfy....

Ladies, you have all really helped to reassure me today... :hugs:

Smiley my BF is 16 weeks tomorrow and she throws up bile stuff every morning in the shower. So I do understand what you are going through...she has tried every M/S remedy known and nothing helps... I won't tell her it returns in the 3rd trimester ... maybe your bubby is going through a big hormonal surge this week and that's all it will be?

Judy - he'll barely be home long enough to notice him and then he's gone again :( But at least he'll be home and not gone for as long this time. He's back and forth now for a while, but I think that I have just done the longest stint and it wasn't too hard so that's good. I'm not going to like sharing the bed again though!

Good luck with the Glucose test Judy. I hope that baby doesn't kick up too much of a storm.

Pink - I can't believe how much you still worry!

Smiley - I hope that your m/s goes away again.

Gee there's a lot of things that I'm looking forward to not feeling in 10 weeks time! (restless legs, heart burn, swollen to name a few) :)

Kat - my DH is usually away 3-4 nights a fortnight. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I am used to it - it has always been like that.

He has told his employer he is unable to travel from the 1st August, just to be safe.

My c-section countdown is 9 weeks today! I am so in nesting mode - my house has been absolutely pulled apart. DS room is finished :smiliedance: Bubba's clothes are in the washing machine and dryer (3 full loads of a 9.5kg washing machine :o - but that is unisex, girls and boys clothes from birth until size 00).

I am in Yasmine's room at the moment, moved her bed, and fitting her toys in. I will go through her built-in this afternoon, and sort that out.

And then fold all of bub's clothes and but them in his/her built-in and I'm done!

Ohhhh, except the rest of the house looks like a cyclone hit.....

Lisa, you are going to be such a worry wart once bubs is born!!.

Judy, good luck today, bubs will probably do a few sommersaults while high on the sugar!

Smiley, thats no good about the m/s. I have heard people getting it in the third trimester but have been lucky myself (touch wood!!).
I think your right about the baby expo!, I just hope Sierra behaves while we are there, although mum is coming so I will just give Sierra to her , shes better for her nana!.

My emotions are haywire today... been depressed for most the morning though, I think the tiredness and Sierra refusing naps and getting me up so early might have something to do with it.
Anyways, going to get out of the house later and get some photos developed and some money back from medicare (that should cheer me up if nothing else).

Thanks for asking. She is back to her old self now, playing and dancing around I took her out for cake this morning to give her mum a break. Then we came back and danced to some kids songs, now I'm stuffed.

Only down side is that she will be left with a scar under her eye.

She is a pretty little girl, with beautiful eyes.

Well she does keep saying to people that she doesn't like black doggies any more, I'm pretty sure that her mum will put bio oil on it when its healed, her mums a big fan of the stuff so hopefully it will make some difference to the bite marks.

She is a very pretty girl so I would hate for this to be something that she will dwell on when she is a teenager.

Ok now this is just me being a blonde asking a stupid question... but its something that popped into my head the other day.

Does a baby inside mummies tummy get head rush???

Silly I know, but its one of those silly questions that I get every now and then.

Everyone gets head rush.. and when you hang upside down for too long all the blood rushes to your head, so does this happen to an unborn baby as well....

I know have a laugh, but some one had to ask a silly question.:o

KatieLou
26-06-2008, 01:13 PM
:fingerscrossed: There's no lasting effects either physically or mentally.

My niece was swooped with contact by a magpie at about the same age. For ages she flinched and went inside whenever she saw the shaddow of a bird, but she's much better now, only 1.5 years later. I know a bird swoop isn't as bad a dog attack, but hopefully there's the same outcome.

Smiley - I have sickness the whole pg, it is not bad or anything now but every morning feel like I might be sick for about 20 mins, once I eat it goes. Well, eating is my favourite past time .

Sara - Tully looks so cute and fresh, my dogs are quite smelly at the moment. I have just wormed them and flead them so that made me feel better. Our dogs live outside as they are big. I do love them but have decided when we get dogs again one day they will be little dogs so we can let them in on cold nights and they can come in the car etc

Haileye - James got a nasty gash under his eye about a year ago and they glued it at the hospital as stitches were not an option as he was very very upset. It has healed well and the scar tissue under the skin took some time to go down. I was told as he still had a small face and lots of growing to do the scar will become less obvious as the face grows. It is terrible it happened in the 1st place but the scar will become less and less in time.

KatieLou - Freezing meals is such a good idea, as DH isn't much a cook prior to the birth of both boys I tried to freeze some meals for him and when I got home to take the stress off.

Mixy - I like Carter

Donna - I went to post a message before and after reading your nesting achievements I decided to put washing on LOL, so now there are tonnes of baby's blankets on the line...you motivated me.

I don't make currys very spicy at all so I think I've been getting away with ot for longer than I should be. Does anyone know how to make coconut rice? Surely it can't be hard - some sort of combo of coconut milk and rice, but I just can't get it right so have to buy it in a packet.

Kymmy - I can seriously just eat and eat, I do remember after having Nicholas it eased for a while then resumed as the b/f fully kicked in. It is a different kind of hungry though.

I am making meatballs, I use the masterfoods tuscan meatballs pkt liquid sauce thing, it is so easy and really nice. We only had mince in the freezer, must go shopping tomorrow.

I hope I forget where I hid the Freddo's, for at least a day anyway. We are suppose to sell them but have decided we will probably just buy the box .

My sister bought me some Baby Patch clothes yesterday from DJ's (naughty her) and I LOVE them, so cute. Will photograph what I have bought soon.

KatieLou, just sending some big hugs to Caitlin too. :hugs:

Well, I went to see my ob on Tuesday & all's looking good. Got to see bub on the screen & I got the ob to check to see if the sonographer was right when I had my anatomy scan that it was a girl, & yep, all confirmed....it has girl bits! :) Oh, just realised I'm due in exactly 3 months now! Not too much longer to go. :)

Mmmmm, green curry.....I'm getting hungry (again) now!

Judy, good luck today, bubs will probably do a few sommersaults while high on the sugar!Bub is STILL doing somersaults and flips after the GCT. That stuff makes me want to puke. I was feeling queezy afterwards so I grabbed a foccacia from the cafe and drove to DS2's school. I was halfway down the street that the school is in and I was wondering why the 40kph sign looked so far away....I blinked heavily and then realised that I was almost completely on the wrong side of the road! I'm so lucky that there was no oncoming traffic or I could have been in a bit of trouble there. That made me realise how badly the awful drink had affected me and I was glad that I had chosen to get to school 30 mins before the bell went.....it gave me time to eat and recover.

Does a baby inside mummies tummy get head rush???
Silly I know, but its one of those silly questions that I get every now and then.Haileye I remember asking my OB many years ago that same question and he laughed at me (over 16yrs ago actually lol). Apparently babies don't get head rush as the amniotic fluid keeps them on an even keel no matter what way up or down they are.

OK time to get dinner out of the oven. I felt so lousy after the GCT that I bought frozen fish, calamari and chips for dinner. Nice n easy.

:hugs: for all !

hailey- your poor neice, the poor little thing, that is horrible!

Does a baby inside mummies tummy get head rush???

uummmm.... i dont think so, what judy said sounds right!

Ok ladies, i did a tally of all your responses to the baby names!!

Bryson Only got 1 vote!
Levi got 3 votes:)
Rylan got 5, and

Carter got 8!!!!!!!!!

Now i just have to convince DH (st*pid man is too picky...)

Thanks to everyone who responded!

Well today i went out to lunch with my mum and aunty. And Kliens had a sale of 50% off everything, so i got some hair clips for while im in labour, and i got DD a butterfly hair clip, a watch, a butterfly purse and a fluffy pen, for during the holidays as a reward when she is behaving:) anyway it all only cost me $20!!!
Than i got a new wallet, a really nice purple one, reduced from $19.99 to $12.95!! i really like it!
Then.... when i was picking DS up from childcare i noticed on the board out the front that someone had a BFing pillow for sale for $15, and since i had planned to get one tomorrow at the baby expo for about $50- $60 i though i would give her a call, and sure enough it was exactly what i was looking for!!!!!! so $15! bargain!!!!!!!
Gee i had a good day, im so tired now though!

I also had one sales lady ask me if i was having twins, and another in another shop tell me there was no way i was going to make it to september, i politly told her that i would cause i have big bubbas!

Here is a pic of my belly today
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj13/mixy_101/28weeks0days.jpg

Im not the biggest in our mth am i?

I also was ready your posts and decided to go and do a load of bubs washing!! DH does not want me to wash the boys cloths 'just in case' (i promise you there is only boy bits in there!) so i have now washed all the uni-sex stuff, and one boys thing:)
I better go and hang it out:)

Hi girls
I am now back from training in Sydney, and totally exhausted.
My OB called me and I've got to go back and do the 2hr GTT - looks like I'm on the edge of having GD - will let you know as soon as I do
Can't remember everything, but here goes:
Mixy - I like Carter
Hailey - hugs for your niece
yep, thats the extent of my memory
I haven't been well - my asthma has been playing up again - but I think that is just because I've been in the pollution of Sydney.
Mum is doing fairly well, but pushing herself.
When i was away I got a call from my bf's hubby - not only has her mum been diagnosed with brain cancer, but my bf has been hospitalised with gall stones, and her hubby saw a girl run over in a car when visiting her! The poor buggers can't cop a break!
Anyway, chat later chicks - I'm off to bed. Only got about 4hr sleep last night, and I've got to work tomorrow :(

A quick write up for me.

Today was a pretty ordinary day while DS was at school. Had a haircut and did some washing, that was about it.
It was my Dad's birthday, so Mum cooked a nice tea and have just come home from a cake and coffee night with the playgroup girls as one of them is leaving. I am off to bed as the tiredness is getting worse even though I seem to get enough sleep at night. Oh well, not too long to go.

Mixy - I like Rylan P.S: your belly looks fabulous

Hailey - That was very sad to read about your niece, poor little one-it sounds like she is bouncing back though as little kids do, I'm sure she will heal well.

Cass- Hope everything goes well with your OB, what's GTT and GD?

Happy Friday to everyone.

M/s returned today :barf: & caught me a little off guard :( Which poses a new problem - m/s was ok in the 1st tri when I didn't have an appetite, but now I well and truly have to eat - so do i eat b'fast twice? It could also be just a tummy bug as I haven't been feeling the best the last few days. I kind of hope so b/c I don't want to be sick for the next 10 weeks! :hissy:

Mixy - your belly is beautiful but certainly bigger than mine :)

Cass - welcome back. I hope you had a good nights sleep and feel better. :hugs: to your bf - what a horrible time they are having.

Danielle - well done on making the call to finish up earlier.

Judy - I felt just as horrible after the GTT - I was driving along thinking 'I so should not be driving right now'. I hope that you are feeling better now and are driving on the correct side of the road!

I have an ob appt this arvo and then I'm taking the rest of the day off (2 whole hours - I am such a rebel!). I'm hoping to pick up the new car this weekend but I haven't heard from the dealer so who knows...

Morning all! 27 weeks for me today....only another 13 to go! :D

KatieLou, that's no good about the m/s possibly returning....hopefully it's just a bug & you feel better soon. :hugs:

Oh, now I'm dreading having this GTT. I have to have that done ina few weeks & I remember from last time the stuff they gave me to drink made me want to puke. :barf:

Kat I hope its not your morning sickness back..and if you do have a tummy upset I hope it's very mild and goes away soon... poor thing.. with everything else you have had to cope with this week it can't be easy... i'm sure you are so happy to have DH home...

Leece I am in desperate need of new Maternity clothes.... might be time to go shopping this weekend! Hopefully you are less tired today...

Mermum GTT is Glucose Tolerance Test and GB is Gestational Diabetes (I think )

Vanilla a big happybirthday for your Dad... how is he doing?

Mickie you had an absolute bargain day shopping!! Don't you just love days like that... I don't think your belly warrants the comments you got from people... mine's coming close to that! DH has started to insist on taking belly pics of me the last two mornings...I'm not a fan of my photos at the best of times LOL

Cass Welcome back!! The pollution wouldn't have helped your asthma at all... now you are back home hopefully it will settle for you!

Judy How are you feeling today after yesterday's test... :hugs:

Dantaz :smiliedance: yay for your resignation. Bet you feel great!

Smiley how is your m/s today?

Loz How is Friday treating you so far....

I wonder how Ang is settling in back in Canada.... haven't heard in a little while... has anyone heard from StarMummy/Kristee and how her PTL is going?

All going well here... Smudge is doing more somersaults than an Olympian gymnast at night..seems to have quietened down this morning so is probably worn out lol

:hugs: to all I missed!!!

Thanks everyone, I think it is a bug - a few other symptoms have set in this morning that I didn't get with m/s. :fingerscrossed: I hope it doesn't ruin my weekend away with my family - we're celebrating dad's 65th b'day.

Youngmum - I'm glad you feel great. Isn't it amazing what a good sleep can do?

From the sounds of things we are carrying a team of budding gymnasts! I'm not looking forward to when those kicks in the ribs get a bit harder

:wave:Hi ladies

I have just been food shopping, I seriously hate doing it, it cost $200 dollars and that was shopping carefully. I bought no junk food, just big pkts of meat and mainly veggies etc to make big LOL family meals. Food is getting so expensive.

Mixy - It looks like u might be having another big baby, you have a very nice impressive bump  and it looks like all baby.

Cass - Glad to hear you are home, you have been working hard and must be feeling it more and more. How much longer do u have at work? GTT test results must have a been a bit of a surprise, I hope there is no ongoing concern from the follow-up test. I wasn't even going to bother with the test but am now having it on Monday.

Leece - U should be the one complaining, it is your given right as a pg woman, however, no-one is ever listening anyway , oh, except us .

Judy - Don't u just hate drinking that stuff, at least it is done now and u can put that appt behind you. Lucky u had something to eat with you or the dizziness may have lingered.

 I'm feeling heaps better today after yesterdays bad driving episode. Had my anti D injection today and a friend came with me to make sure I stayed on the right side of the road. LOL No repeat of yesterdays efforts and the bonus was that DD was asleep when school finished early today so SIL dropped him home for me. :D Oh I decided to be a good mummy and take the kids to Hungry Jacks for lunch today. DS2 was very impressed to get a treat and told me I'm the best mum in the world. I really wanted a burger but wasn't going to tell him that was the real reason we were going there.

Mixy I hope all that bargain shopping hasn't given you sore or swollen feet. 6hrs is a long time to be walking around!

Cass I bet you're glad to be home. Try to have a restful weekend and enjoy your time with your DH and kids. I'm sure they missed you heaps.

Youngmum :hugs: for you hun. Try and enjoy your weekend as much as possible without letting things drag you down....you still deserve to be happy.

Danni Baby Oops has been trying to break out all week from the left hand side right on my bikini line. I have felt and seen elbows poking out and it's not comfy at all. Although I'm sure it wouldn't be as bad if I didn't actually see the limbs protruding....it looks like something out of an Alien movie LOL

I've been busy this weekend DD had her first day of Kindy on Friday and I was a complete mess I bawled my eyes out:o on the way out and felt like the biggest idiot (lucky nobody saw me) but she was great she bought mummy and daddy home our very first painting and actually had a 1hr long sleep without booby in her mouth :smiliedance: I'm so proud of her. They said usually its the 2nd and 3rd time they go that is worse so I'm dreading next friday but we'll see how we go.

Leece - Oh love, that's not good news. Was this a huge shock to you or did you suspect something was wrong? Your new little baby will bring you so much happiness and company regardless of Daddy's actions you will be ok, be strong :hugs:.

Jordan - Sounds like Hayley went really well. The 1st time James went was a terrible experience for me and him, he was not ready and I went home and basically cried and waited to pick him up. He was 2 at the time (after 5 attempts) we decided to wait another year and now he is very settled and loves it. Most kids settle very quickly and really LOVE it and a small amount don't. I think she will do fine, they really do have heaps of fun there and get to do lots of messy stuff .

Your 1st painting is so special, I loved the 1st art that came home :goodvibes:.

Mixy - Well done getting around for 6 hours, you must have been in mumma's heaven, no expo here . Glad u enjoyed it and got some bargains!

Judy - Glad to hear u took a friend with you this time, that was very worrying to hear about your driving episode after the GTT. You have made it through the week and all those appts, well done :yelclap:.

My sister and her DH are up visiting the weekend and we are all going to my other sistes for a BBQ later today. The boys can't wait to play with their cousins.

Was a good day though, went with my cousin, her little man William and mum. Mum spoilt both of us rotten!, and I got a couple of things with my own money too ;).
Will put pictures up tomorrow...
Sierra was pretty good, they had a little petting zoo there which she loved!.
Im just excited that I have finally got a few things for the new bubs... Sierra did well too.

Anyways, Im off to have dinner and watch Heroes while my feet get a rest!.
Hope everyone else had a good day too!

Jordan I remember my boys 1st day at kinder and I was like you....had a cry because my babies were growing up and leaving me for a while (even though it was only a few hours). I hope you have a decent sized fridge/freezer to display all the artwork you will accumulate! We still have DS2's first artwork from grade prep at primary school stuck to one of our overhead cupboards....a fish with coloured celophane. I still can't bear to get rid of it as it's so cute.

Loz I hope you enjoyed your bbq dinner with your family. With a bit of luck, the boys will end up exhausted from playing with their cousins and sleep well for you tonight

Leece I'm glad you had a good day today. Sometimes it's good to take your mind off certain things.

I hope all you ladies who went to the baby expo had a wonderful time. There is never anything like that where I live and the Melbourne ones are just too far away to get to.

I made the decision yesterday to postpone my 4D scan until 14th July as I am already sick of being at the hospital for different appointments. Apparently you can have it done any time between 28-34 weeks and after that it's not worth having done as it's too squishy in there to get good footage of bub. Monday and Thursday appointments this coming week is all I can be bothered with atm.

DS2 is off to XH's tomorrow so my house will be very quiet until DS1 arrives some time Tuesday. DP reckons that DD will drive us insane all week because she will miss her brother so much. I think I'll have to make sure that I keep her very entertained so that she copes with him gone. Poor DS2 won't know what hit him when he gets home on Friday cos DD more than likely won't leave him alone for a second

One good thing about spending 2hrs driving to Melbourne tomorrow is that I get to see my family while I'm there. :yelclap: I still miss them heaps even though I have lived so far away for 7-8 yrs.

hi everyone
well.. we are back! it's been 11 nights away from home - i really should be in bed, but had over 40 pages of this thread to read!
holiday's were good, stayed near burleigh heads - decided to extend the stay a couple of extra nights.
while i was away i got a phone call from a "specialist's" rooms asking when i could see them. i knew nothing about why i had to see him, and was sent on a mad goose chase of calls to find out why!
turns out my glucose test came back above normal - the lady said 'high' but i wouldn't say that. fasting was 3.3 (or so) and after the drink and 2 hour wait it was 9.7 (or so). how does this compare to the girls that have had higher readings come back? Cass??
well, the belly is sticking out - it's right under my ribs. kicks are mainly felt on lower left side. i've got no idea which way bub is facing.
i have my 30 week hospital appt on monday, so i hope they sort out a few things.
better get myself to bed

Jel, the point where you're considered "positive" for suspected GD is 7.8mmol I think.

TrulyBlessed
29-06-2008, 09:01 AM
My level was slightly high but not to the point of having GD my middie said. I think it was if you are under 7.7 you are right, mine was 7.1.

Normal (preg)-fasting- <5.5 (and) after 2hr- <8.0
Gestational Diabetes (2nd and 3rd trimester)
-fasting- >5.4 (OR) after 2hr- >7.9

Did you have the longer test? with 12 hr fast and 3 blood tests over 2 hrs? casue the one that only takes an hour is alot less reliable. With DS my first one was high like yours but second came back perfect:)

this time i just came in under in the 2hr test, but it was still under:)
:hugs:getting 'abnormal' results can be really stressful, but it will all be fine

And it looks like we have the name picked, DH hated Carter (sorry ladies) but he likes Rylan (after lots of arguing... gggrrrr) now just to pick our 'e' middle name.....
My midwife sent me my actual results and this is the info it has with it, this is actually off the fax that is sent by pathology.

 Girls

:hugs: and a big thank-you to LOZ and CC'S sharing your experiences makes me feel so much better. She coped better than I did I'm just not sure about sending her Friday she's got a terribly snotty nose so I'll call the centre thursday if she hasnt improved.

Mixy- Bumgenius are great especially in green the stretchy side tabs on them are great

Alison- love your purchases I havent gotten around to taking pics yet but I'll explain LOL. I wanted the same style wrap you got but they had none left in blue so I got 3 of the cotton ones. I also got a sheepskin :D In green (I want to swap it for black now), I got a toy bar that clips on to the carseta bouncer pram etc, 2 Itti bittis for DD and a pair of crocs for her aswell, and just some wipes oh and I got a bubbalog from the fresh mums stand its a book to record all bubs feeds, nappy changes, sleep patterns etc for the first few weeks so hopefully I'll have this lil boy in some sort of routine

Starmummy - Welcome back and happy 2nd birthday to your DD Tarleha Maye:wizard:
Sending good vibes your way anything bronchial is terrible to deal with on top of being pregnant with a cold :hugs: AND organising a birthday party.

jsut got back from the baby expo. i went with a close friend who once we got there wouldnt let me pay for ANYTHING, she brought me two silicone bottles 2 wraps a cd that plays nursery rhymes with bryce's name in them and made a dotation which got a sippee cup. she also wanted to pay for me to get a 3d scan done, but i will be having a scan in a few weeks anyway so they can check a few things so we are gonna have a 3d one done then.
hope everyone had a really nice weekend. time to relax

Normal (preg)-fasting- <5.5 (and) after 2hr- <8.0
Gestational Diabetes (2nd and 3rd trimester)
-fasting- >5.4 (OR) after 2hr- >7.9

Did you have the longer test? with 12 hr fast and 3 blood tests over 2 hrs? casue the one that only takes an hour is alot less reliable. With DS my first one was high like yours but second came back perfect:)

this time i just came in under in the 2hr test, but it was still under:)
:hugs:getting 'abnormal' results can be really stressful, but it will all be fine

thanks mixy & sierrasmum
i had the 2 hour test - fasted for 12 hours and 2 blood tests - one at start and one 2hours after drink.
i guess i find out tomorrow if i REALLY have to see the specialist or if they're just being cautious. I'm prepared to alter diet & exercise if that's all it takes.
hope everyone had a great weekend. sounds like the expo was fun!
catch you all later

Hi Everybody,

Gosh, I don't think I'll ever get caught up on the posts here! I haven't been on in a week or so and am only up to page 50 out of nearly 90! I was going to try to read through them before I posted, but it could be mid July by the time that happens! Well, maybe next week when we're back home and I have more time to myself.

We are just finishing up 2 weeks of holidays with both sets of parents. It has been a good time, although I have a bit of a rant. My MIL and SIL have expressed their ideas on visiting after the baby is born, and they SERIOUSLY clash with my own! Comments such as 'We'll be on a plane as soon as you're in labour' have scared the **** out of me! I've told DH that I don't want anyone coming for overnight stays for the two weeks that he is off work since I feel that is our time to get used to having a baby. My sister lives in the same city, but has had 2 kids and respects our space, so she may come for a short visit in the first week or so, but if I said no, she'd be fine with it.

My MIL brought up the issue at the dinner table one night, so I very calmly and clearly explained that we would need time to get used to things on our own before having visitors and that it would be far more helpful if they came for a visit after DH went back to work, since then I might be needing more support. My MIL was actually very good about it - she has always been good about respecting our space and I was pleased that she was willing to do it again even though she's been waiting for a grandchild for 10 years. I thought the issue had been solved until last night when DH told me that my SIL had been at him about coming out right away. She has this notion that she wants to be able to see the baby in the hospital right after it's born! The very thought of having people around me that soon after gives me nightmares! Aargh! :hair: Dh seems to be having a hard time understanding why I am so dead set against it. Last night I told him maybe he should do some reading up on the matter!

Anyone else having similar problems?

Waahoo - I'm hearing you.
However, you have to realise that they will probably come anyway, if that's the types of people they are. With my DD1 I gave birth at 3.30pm, gave her a breastfeed, then didn't get to hold her until 9.30pm, as everyone else was having a hold. A bit full-on after a 48hour labour!!!
This time, I'm not telling anyone I've gone into labour (except for my BF who's babysitting, and my SIL who's my birth support), and won't announce the birth until bub is about 3hrs old. That way Mick and I get to have some time with bub. Then we will only tell the babysitter, so the girls can have some one-on-one time with bub. After that, immediately family (grandparents, aunts & uncles) will be welcome for a one hour visit.
My issue is that I alway seem to give birth during the day (which is unusual - most births are at night apparently), so everyone's already up and waiting to visit!
Keep in mind that the midwives are great bouncers. Just tell them you want no visitors, and they will ensure that happens.
I recommend that seeming as you have no children already, then don't tell anyone. I wouldn't if I didn't need a babysitter!
Good luck though - can be needlessly stressful.
Ultimately, you need to be honest with yourself, your DH and your family. Very difficult being all the way over there though!

Morning Everyone

Well dh came home and then went again, it was good to see him and he can't believe how much I've grown or how strong the kicks are now. He's getting really clucky which is so cute :p Between his sore arm and my pregnancy though, sleep was difficult for both of us so it's nice to have the bed to myself again :)

I had an ob appt on Fri and all test results from the other week were good. My belly is measuring 32 weeks though  Hopefully it's fluid! The new hospital is shiny and new - I should organise a tour soon as I have no idea where to go or what to do...

Leece - :hugs: to you. Have you had a chance to speak to your DP? Where do you go from here? PM me if you like.

We're not telling anyone when we go into labour, although my BIL may guess as he & DH work together. I don't know what to suggest about your inlaws Waahoo, it's a tricky one.

Morning Ladies

Lots of posts to catch up on...have had a busy weekend so feeling the effects today...

Judy glad your Anti-D went well... let us know how your paed appt goes today...good luck :hugs:

Ang and Jel welcome back!! It's hard enough catching up on posts from two days ago let alone a big break...

Leece :hugs: How are you today?

Kat at least you got to check on DH and have some much needed together time over the weekend... he must be surprised at how bubby is growing in there... it's a big week for you work-wise so try to take it easy as much as you can  Are you feeling better? Was it a bug or your m/s?

Alison that little wrap is gorgeous!!

Looks like you Mum's that went to the expo had a great time!!

Jordan I think I would be a blubbering mess... i'm such a softie lol

Mixy DH and I are still trying to decide on boy's names... don't know why the girl's name was so easy for us... we are now deciding between Sebastian Anthony or Oscar Anthony.... what do you think?

Smiley did your m/s come back?

Kristee great to see you back... a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your DD!

So tired today... didn't sleep well last night...does anyone use a body pillow? Are they worth it?

Some not so good news is that my BIL's father has only been given a couple of weeks to live...have known him since I was 5 and it was a shock to hear he had gone down hill so quickly.. seeing what my BIL is going through brings it all back from when we lost Mum :( it seems like yesterday...watching him pass through all the stages of denial/anger etc...I think we will go and see him this week once he is settled into palliative care.

So a bit tired and over-emotional today... if you have any spare :hugs: I will take them lol

Hope everyone had a great weekend... sorry to have a bit of a downer with the post... i should have started with that news and then finished on a high note

Explain, was it red? or pink or brown, was it in mucus, or by it self, was it alot, or just a little? and always remember if you are worried you may be better getting it checked then just leaving it, cause you will end up very stressed if you are really worried:) im sure its all fine though

ARGH!!!:banghead:
Just lost a whole page worth!, thanks to Sierra... took a lot of self control not to scream at her!. I seriously have no patience at the moment!, but dont worry, shes oblivious to how much her 'typing' on mummies laptop just upset me...

Im tired and cranky lately... not getting much sleep from sore hips/legs, and now Sierra is not sleeping through, which is really odd for her, but I think shes either teething or has a sore throat, I also just found out that one of the babies at our mothers group last friday has bronchialitis, so I hope Sierra doens't have that... also she seems much improved today. Still not really eating much unless its softened or pureed though... so we shall see.

Ok enough about me...

Kristee- Sorry I missed your post the other day!, a very big happybirthdayto Tarleha!, I hope she had a great day and gets really spoilt!.

Wahoo- I hope your family gives you thespace you want... although I suppose you cant really blame them for being excited!.
I have a feeling everyone will be at the hospital as soon as they can too, although as im living a little further away this time it will take family time to get here... they are pretty good though, last time they went and had coffee if I need to feed sierra, and left if I was tired... and no one came at late times which was good!.

Danni- Im not sure if it would be too late to change doctors... but I think I would be looking
if that kept happening to me!!.

Lisa- Thanks... I love the wrap the most... was just looking into maybe getting another!.
Sorry to hear about your BIL's father... Must be really hard with all the emotions flooding back from your own experiences with your mum. I hope you get some sleep tonight and that your feeling better tomorrow.
I use a body pillow, and I find it helps a lot!.
:hugs::hugs:
Lots of hugs coming your way!.

Kat- Glad to hear you got some time with DP, its nice that he got to feel bubs kick while he was home... he must be getting excited!

Well I think thats all I was going to write...

:hugs: to everyone who needs them!!

Leece I was going to suggest if your Dr was not free to call the midwives at the maternity unit of your hospital as I am sure they would be happy for you to come up and be checked out. Better safe than sorry.

Nothing exciting to report here - now off to read all the posts from the last few days properly...

Thanks for your :hugs: ladies... and thoughts on names...very much appreciated...

Sorry to hear your m/s is back Smiley :( I hope it's just a hormone surge this week for you... i wonder if our little bubba's know what they are doing to us mummies...cheeky things!

Is it just me or is it so cold today!

Was online this morning looking for maternity jeans.... i'm looking for dark denim boot leg..anyone found any like that? I went to our local shopping centre yesterday and was very disappointed with the Mat clothes... Target has one rack of 'in due time' and honestly it was terrible...tried Big W and they had half a rack... think I will have to try Pumpkin Patch and Kmart this week...

Oh i did have some success shopping... i was in desperate need of some new bras.. i went to BNT and got some of the comfiest bras and undies I have worn... my bras were down from $50 to $14.99 and the matching bottoms were down from $23.00 to $5.00...very pleased...and lots of nighties/pj's and gowns on sale too... so if anyone is interested you might want
