air conditioning at night

i need some advice on keeping the air conditioner on at night in spencer's room. it's become really hot in hanoi. i usually put the a/c in spencer's room before i put him to bed to cool the room down and then leave it on for a little while before turning it off. last night was really warm and i was worried about him getting hot. should i put him in warmer pjs and leave the a/c on? or is it okay that it stays off?

Maybe cool the room down with the air con before you go to bed and if you want to leave it on all night, increase the temp, so the air is not icy cold. Does your aircon have a timer, we quite often used the time with our aircon, we'd turn it off when we went to bed and it would come on at around 2am.

I just leave it on all night on the hot nights - it's not worth the stress of worrying whether DD's too hot or too cold, IYKWIM!

I set ours for 24 degrees, and put her in a singlet, and long-legged, long-sleeved (light material) pyjamas. That way it doesn't matter if she kicks off the blankets, or her arms escape, which they invariably do.

If you don't want the aircon on, can you just have an oscillating fan for him?

You just have to go with how the weather is on a daily basis, I think, and decide what your course of action for each night is to be.
