Hello all :)
Just thought I would see how we are all coping with the dreaded m/s? I have been wonderfully well until yesterday at 6w 2d I started feeling off color in the morning. And today, same again, no vomit, but feeling very :barf:
They say approx 50% of women will get m/s.... so I thought I would do a poll and see!

I always think there is a difference between morning sickness and nausea, even though they are related to the same thing of course.
For me, it's 24 hour a day nausea but no actual :barf:
Although some would still call that M/S lol

I wouldn't say I'm feeling great - I'm still pretty tired but it's definately improving.
No morning sickness...the times I was feeling pretty queezy were also when I was unwell in general (tummy bug & bad headcold), so I'm not going to put that down as morning sickness as such.
I was the same with #2...no morning sickness at all...just tiredness. Had terrible MS with #1 but I was getting over glandular fever & was pretty crook anyway.
Maybe I'm one of the "lucky" 50%? LOL...nice now but I suffer really badly in late pregnancy (carpal tunnel, hideous heartburn all the time, swelling to the size of a blimp...ahhh the joys of pregnancy!).

I feel sick if I am hungry, when I wake up for an hour or two, if I eat anything "junky" or if I smell any strong food smells, especially baked goods. I just went past a subway and I almost fainted I felt so ill.
But in all I am OK, no actual :barf: which is pretty much the same as last time. It's pretty mild.

Ooooh - I want to change my answer.
I feel so wretched this morning and :barf:is back. When I was pregnant with DD, I was sick at least 10 times a day until about 20 weeks! I am praying that this is not the same.
Oh gosh - I feel so sick.

:( You poor thing Mamma, hope you start feeling better soon!
I read somewhere when I was pregnant with DS that sniffing a lemon helps? Like if you scratch the surface so the smell escapes...I didn't try it cos my morning sickness had finished by then though.

I have been pretty lucky with m/s so far. have only had one day where I vomitted twice in the morning which was at about 7 weeks. I thought 'this is it, it has started', but haven't had it again. I do have waves of nausea over the day, but generally I am feeling really well. With my ds i was the same so I think i am just one of the lucky ones who don't really get sick.
Haven't had too many symptoms up until about the last week the tiredness has just hit me. I feel tired all day now, no matter how much sleep I get. I wake up feeling tired!!! It drives me crazy!:hair:
Sorry to hear that some of you are having a rough time with m/s. I don't know how you guys do it. Good on you!!!!

I have been sick since 2 weeks. All day everyday not even water agreed with me. I am now on maxalon and if I am late to take it things get ugly real quick :barf:

I know how you are feeling troouble, I'm on maxolon too. I've been sick all day every day for the last three weeks and even had to go and have two injections at the hospital to stop the :barf: I can't keep anything down, even at 2am! I've been missing from the Jan thread for three weeks because I can't type without being sick - its terrible

Maxalon didn't work for me last time so I'm not trying it again this time.
Hope you feel better soon. :)
Morning sickness... more like all day sickness! i dont usually actually throw up but usually make a few trips to the bathroom feeling on the verge...
most smells make me feel ill, especially coffee :(
I feel like an old granny taking naps and "laying down" during the day lol!
im glad im not the only one :)

I'm one of the lucky ones really, basically everyday at about 4:00 I get the nausea and a headache but I never actually :barf: (except a couple of times around 4-5 weeks) although sometimes I wish I would just to get it over with IYKWIM.
With DD I didn't get it at all really so maybe its a boy?
On the other hand I'm not feeling to lucky, I'm paying for my lack of ms with other symptoms .

I voted on this post during the week when i was experiencing no morning sickness. I must have jinxed myself because the very next day it hit me and I've been feeling sick and vomiting for the last four days, its so horrible.
:barf:
I can't sleep and whatever i eat comes straight back up, I'm worried of becoming dehydrated.
Is there a miracle cure for this all day sickness, I don't think I can cope with this for another four weeks....arrrhh!!!

I spoke too soon. :barf:
It was the same with Ali, I had a day where I felt pretty good and then it was back just like before...I think this means I only have a few more weeks of it though. :goodvibes:

thsi time is reallllllllllllyyyyyyy bad.....
from about lunch it's just nausea and :barf:
Last pregnancy I could talk myself out of the vomitting part. Mind over matter. The last 2 weeks I've had a terrible cough and that doesn't help when you're trying not to retch!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry TMI!!!)

Well I have had M/S since week 2 :smiliedance: I first tried vitamins but nothing :o Then I went on Maxalon which seemed to work :yelclap: For only 2 weeks :( I went back to the dr and he said there was one thing left to try, it was a little pricey, so we thought around $50. So we went and got 10 tablets of Zofran for $134.60:yes: I have now been on them for a few days an I have :barf:a few times a day still. My dr has said if these don't work he wants to put me in hospital.
For all those ladies who wish they had M/S you can have some of mine. I am good at sharing and I wont ask for it back

Well mine is starting up again.... I am feeling like I am going to :barf: more than I'm not feeling like it! and the slightest smell or thought of food and I start dry reaching. My belly looked about 20 weeks pregnant the other day.... now I look flat... I haven't been able to stomach the thought of food for almost a week.... well bar a dry piece of plain bread  oh now the fun begins... and I have to fly back home on Saturday yet! :dizzy:

I was a complete sack when I was carrying Bella through first trimester and talk about breakouts. I would come home from work and collaspe on the couch for the night. Though thankfully only a few bouts of vomitting.
This time though, have had some nausea and headaches earlier- though nothing a chew on some minty gum didn't banish- and for the most part I am feeling great, my skin is much nicer (thank goodness) and I have days where I could swear I wasn't pregnant because I feel pretty normal.
This baby is being a star, I feel pretty lucky.

I've been feeling nauseous, but no puking. I think I've figured that if I eat something small every 2 hours, I'm ok.

I'm 8 weeks pg and only feel a little nauseous when I'm hungry. I'm feeling lucky after reading others' stories! :) Generally if I'm full I feel fine. I had acupuncture last week so I don't know if that helped. Ginger tea is meant to be good (a few slices of fresh ginger in hot water) or sucking barley sugar lollies. Also travel sickness bands that stimulate a pressure point on the wrist are meant to prevent nausea. Everyone who is :barf:you have my sympathy...
