Practice, practice and more practice.
I have never liked public speaking but in my role, I have to do it all the time to groups of up to 40-90 people. My organisation also runs a compulsory program 4 times a year where you have to give your management team a detailed presentation on an aspect of something that the company offers to its clients.
The best way I have found to get it right is to plan my slides first, then actually script the whole thing. I then practice the script to each slide (many times) and then link it together and literally run through it, timing it, for about 15 times.
I have been told that my presentations are excellent - the only reason they are this way is because I rehearse them so much. I used to just 'wing it' and I'd end up getting confused, off topic and saying things I shouldn't.
Perfect Preparation Prevents P*ss Poor Performance :D
Good luck for the next one !!:fingerscrossed:
