yes I'd take him because with all that vomiting he could dehydrate if not brought under control fairly quickly.
GOOD LUCK and I hope your little bubs is feeling better real soon.

thanks :) i'll let you all know hwo the dr's goes :D
It must be a bug thats going around. Since yesterday arvo at about 3pm my son started vomiting but he has only vomited 3 times since but he has also had a wet nappy that stunk really bad. But he also has spots (might be flea bites when he went into the shed on tuesday) but he hasn't got a fever. I was told that you have to wait 28hours before you take your child in to see someone unless there is a temperature. I have to dilute Jaydens cow milk so its half water. And just keep the fluids up and only let him eat plain food, (toast, bread, crackers eg)
Hope your son get better

i have never heard of the 28 hours to wait to see a dr
well from 5am -noon today cody vomited more then 11 times
the dr says he has gastro and now cody has some stuff to keep him rehyrdrated coz he was dhyradted from all the vomiting and now he has the runs :(
but the vomiting seems to have stopped:smiliedance:
the dr says if i left seeign a dr any longer cody would have had to be admited to hosptial for really bad dhyradtion:eek:

he is getting better he is keeping down fluids now :) so thatsa good sign we just have to keep an eye on his nappies coz the dr gave us a sheet for danger signs of gastro and it says 8-10 runs in 12 hours is a bad sign cody is up to 5. and he hasnt doen a wee since lunchtime yesturday. he kept down some fruit puree earlier.so i think he just needs his fluids.

Obviously there is something pretty yukky going around - we have it too this morning.
A poor little boy, lying on part of the couch (the rest has just been scrubbed due to a related disaster).:barf:
No temp, just vomiting and pretty miserable.
It's hard when your little one is unwell:crying:

Hi Jess
I had Gastro last week and if thats anything to go by, I felt like I had rocks in my stomach so your poor little man is probably feeling the same.
It took a couple of days to settle for me, children usually recover faster than adults.
If he has stopped vomitting thats a good sign hes on the mend. Just keep up the fluids and don't worry if he doesn't want to eat, it was the last thing I wanted to do.
A suggestion that may make you feel better for him is to try clear soup. That was what I had once I started feeling hungry again, its still fluid and not too heavy.
Watered down fruit juice or flat lemonade is good too.
:hugs: for you and your little man

hi my son did the same thing a month ago the dr just told me that its a bug going around and he will be fine 3 days later he was fine ring after hour service and see what they have to say number is 1300 130 147 :)
yeah the dr said dilutated lemondade and apple juice were good for dehyrdation and gastro.
Actualy anything that is high in suger should be avoided when a child has gastro. It will only make to poos worse. The best thing you can get is "hydralite " it is made for young children and comes in ice block or liquid for from the chemist.
My DS had a bad case of gastro a while a go and ended up in hospital with dehydration. ( everything including water would come straight back up) In the end we had to syringe diluted formula into him, a few mls every 20min.
Good luck I hope your little boy is better soon.
