Hello all

I just thought I would make a note to you all that are using laptop computers.....
Please, please if any of you are pregnant and using a laptop computer ON YOUR LAP, please stop because this could be really dangerous for our little bubs. There hasn't been to many studies into radiation from laptops resting on peoples laps, but it is definitley thought not to be safe. Especially if you are pregnant. Laptops have made it so easy for us to lay in bed and play on the computer, or on the couch... It is so easy to rest it on our laps but we really should think about what harm it could be doing to us. Make sure when using your laptop to have it on a table, away from your belly...
I just thought we should all be aware of the potential dangers and wanted to share this with you. :)

borntobemummy I didn't mean to worry you... Just warn you. Apparently the heat it produces can cause infertility issues, and I believe our wireless that allows us to connect to the internet is immiting radiowaves as well. I just think because there isn't alot known about it that it is better to be safe and cautious. :)

wow, I'm using a laptop too and I never heard of this. I used one when PG with DS too, but once my bump grew I had to put it on a small table.

I use a laptop and thought of this when TTC.
I sit my laptop on a large thick pillow, and never rest it directly on my stomach.

I know it's bad for sperm, so I always kept it away from my belly.

I just realised how that sounds, I know it's bad for sperm so I figured it's bad for me too...that's better.

I have a computer now though. :D

Every modern appliance emits different things that are really bad. Honestly if it was really dangerous I am sure it would be broadcast everywhere.
