Hi there

Stork Talk in Devonport stock Pea Pods nappies but I'm not sure of any others. I think most are sold on the internet.

Have you read any of the sticky's in the Cloth Nappy Section? At first I found alot of the terms confusing but decided just to buy a few peapods and loved them. Then I got my gf to make me a few and now I make them myself but DS is only in them at night.

I'm not sure about newborn nappies but I've heard that just using covers (I think they're called Bambino Mio) and folded terry square nappies (the old style cloth) in them are good for newborns.

Remember - google is your friend ;)

You can get them from Salamanca Market if you are down this way for a road trip or anything. :)

I used terry flats for Oliver though. The really bright coloured ones! :D

The thing with stork talk is that they order them from the peapods site when you order them through the store so you'd probably cut out the middle man by just ordering them yourself.

Berry Plush I think have snap down nappies so that you can make them bigger or smaller and so do Baby Beehinds. Hope that helps.

Can you sew at all?

unfortunely no i cant sew dont have a sewing machine. grr! i found on the peapod site the boosters were a $1 dear and the nappies the same price and then u have to add delivery so it works out cheaper to go to stork talk. thanx for ur help also. every bit helps.

Im not sure, but if you check out the bubhub directory you should be able to find some shops that sell online too. :)

Also, I think we used to go through about 10 per day in the start. As he got older though and didnt poo every feed it went down fast! :)

I intend to use them. I have read a fair bit on the MCn Thread on here and then just googled MCNs or particular brand names, and have brought one or two of a few brands to trial. I also brought some prefolds and some bright terry toweling ones, to use for the first little while as I read a lot of the brands don't fit too well until bubs puts a bit of meat on. I've brought some through website and some through ebay.
So far I have
6 Prefolds
10 Terry flats
4 hemp Babybeehinds
2 bamboo baby behinds
2all in one baby beehinds
1 ittibitty delish
1 Blueberry minkie
1 Bluberry one size pkt
1 Wagglewee
and I have some green kids on the way

I have been buying them throughout the pregnancy, mostly when they are on sale or from ebay. (Most of the Baby Beehinds have come from ebay for eg) I figure I'll trial them all and buy more as required.

WARNIG: they are so cute buying them can become addictive
If you ever come down to Hobart you're welcome to come pet them all

As someone has posted, there is a stall at Slalamanca that sells them. Though I haven't actually got any of these. And someone told me there's a shop that stock Bumgenious..but I'm not sure where.

I checked out the MCN's at Salamanca last week and I wasn't impressed at all. The design was much the same as some others that can be used from birth & up (they grow with the baby), but the fabric wasn't that impressive and the stitching was pretty bad - lots of doubling up of stitching where it hadn't caught properly and it looked very messy.

Anyway, that's all I really know about them! :o

I havent actually physically checked them out, but from what I've read about them they are flanalette fitted nappies that require a cover. I Figure being that my bubs will be a winter Tassie baby, then getting them dry will be a huge issue, so I have tended to go for pocket or All-in-Twos nappies
