Hi To All,

At the moment I feel like crying:crying: my DH and I have been TTC #2 since Oct last year and it is not happening. People around us are falling pg and not us. My DH will be 45 at the end of year and I am 37. The trouble is my DH does not understand that you need to BD every 2nd day from Day 10. And quite often BD just gets put off another night, another night and so on. I get so peeved off with DH:banghead: as he wants another baby but does not want to put in the effort. I get soo tired and fall asleep on the lounge or on the bed:sleeping: in the clothes I am wearing.

My DD has been waking up during the night. During the day I have been busy looking after DD and playing with dd as she is needing some attention at the moment (almost 2). DD could be a little dev delayed and I got told I need to put in time and effort playing with DD.

The other problem is we live on the Central Coast and my DH works in Sydney takes about 1hr 40 minutes to travel to Sydney. DH leaves home at 5.30 am or 6.05 am and does not get home until 7.00 pm or 7.30 pm. By the time we have dinner tidy up etc it is 8.30 / 9.00 pm. My DH does not want to BD straight away after dinner and he does not want to do it in the morning.

What times would be a good time to do BD? How can tell DH that to do BD you need to do it every 2nd day from Day 10 and around O? What can I do to stop getting tired? Should I seek medical help?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Kim

Hi Kim,

:hugs:, I know exactly how you feel. We have been TTC#2 for 11 months now and still no luck. My DD is nearly 15 months old.

My DH also works long hours and is gone from 7am till 7pm so I understand how hard it is by the time they get home and play with little one, unwind, have dinner it's 8.30pm, and if you have a little one that is unsettled it only adds to the frustration.

My only comment would be that if your DH is quite tired and BD'ing every second day isnt an option for you that you should try and track when ovulation is and just focus on bding those couple of days of the month. Do you take your temperature daily, and monitor your cervical mucas as that would help greatly.

Come join us in the TTC#2 threads, their is a great support network in their of girls. 4 of them got their BFP's recently but are still in the thread giving support to those of us still chasing our dream BFP. They are great to bounce ideas off and ask questions as a lot of them have been on their own journey including Fertility treatments.

Goodluck, hope you get your BFP soon.:fingerscrossed:

OPKs!! (Ovulation Predictor Kits) You can get them online (much cheaper) and they turn + when you are close to ovulating. That way you dont need to worry about every 2nd day, just bd when the opk turns +. They saved me! :) I have a "later bloomer" son who I have to put a lot of effort into as well, so I can understand that one! Dh doesnt get home until at least 7.30pm at night either (and we live in Sydney, with him working in Sydney), so again, I can relate. Like Lisa said, come join us in the TTC#2 thread...
