Just wondering are you most fertile soon after giving birth?
I know that u have to ovulate in order to become pg but without the return of AF you dont know if you are ovulting.
I have heard of people falling shortly after in the months after the birth of a child.
I guess im also asking, should you be 'xtra' carefull when having relations with dh/dp if you are not wanting to fall again so soon.?

TIA.....

Umm for me YES.

I have PCOS so very hard to fall pregnant. With dd i tried for 8 months to fall preg and then it happened. After dd i fell preg when she was 5 months it was a planned pregnancy. When ds was 3 months old i fell preg i had the appt to get the mirena IUD put in.I then m/c bubba. We decided about 8 months after the m/c to ttc and fell preg 8 months after.

So yes i am very fertile after having a baby,i think its very different for everyone though.

I think it's different for everyone. We have been trying since DD was born to concieive again (14 months ago) and still nothing, but if you dont want to get PG just yet, use some birth control. It will help regulate your AF anyway in readiness for when you do want to TTC.

For the majority of women, no, you are least fertile right after birth, especially if breastfeeding. Having said that though, there are many women who are quite fertile after birth (ie Jac), so using some sort of birth control would be advisable if you arent wanting to get pg again....
