Hi, I lived at kendington grove, which id next to hatton vale, for many years, and have just brought a block around the back of lowood area,

I always loved it out there, and cant wait to be back out there, the only thing I missed was not having friends to chat to, other kids for my kids to play with, etc, but have found a few on BH, that Im going to hit up when I get out there,

My hubby works at wacol, and the drive id just as far, but the time is cut in half, as the traffic is not so bad, he is currently driing from nothside brisbane.

From memory, fernvale is a nice town/main street, it has a primary school, and everything you need, lots of new estates going up in fernale, so price is going up,

there are outter suberbs that may be cheaper, but not far at all from everything you need, I know, I have done sooo much looking into it, :detective:, and we brought in an outter suberb.

I just read your op and was about to post that they are opening a woolies up there, but you've since posted that yourself. I think fernvale is nice and is probably has the sorta feel your after. Oh and the sunday market that on is great for cheap fruit and vege but the rest of the market is more of a garage sale.

My ILs live in Lowood, which is 7km out of Fernvale.

They are really happy out there, but they are also retired with grown children. I'm not sure what sort of little kid facilities there are, but I know for sure there's a childcare centre and a really great doctor in a new medical centre. They also have a new Spar supermarket. I like Lowood, it still has a 'country town' sort of feel without being too far from civilisation.
