Eye Colour Question

Hi ,

Just wondering how and how fast a babies eyes change colour if they are going to.

The reason for this question is that I took a pic of EJ today and her eyes are my colour (hazel) in the pic but later on her eyes were blue as they usually are - I cant sort of see this as a trick of the light as other pics I've taken of her her eyes are blue? Maybe it is just a lighting thing but the eye colour is definately hazel in the pic?

my daughters eyes started to change from blue to green, when she was about 4 i think :)

I was always told that the colour they are at 6 mths is what they will stay. True for our DS#1 but DD had blue eyes until she was about 3.5 and then they went hazel too.

Its usually around the 12mth mark that they will have changed by but as the others have shown thats not always the case !
It would depend on you & bubs daddy & both your families as to what eye colour bubs will have.

Chanel is 8.5 months and her eyes seemed to have stopped changing colour.

I have brown eyes...DP has hazel eyes...Chanel has weird eyes. One is half blue-grey and half brown...the older is fully blue-grey. They've been that way for several months.

I've read that parents eye-colours generally determine their child's colour...but that's not the case with my brother. He's 18...and his eyes have always been a grey colour. Mum, Dad and I all have brown eyes...

My DD's eyes changed at around 12 months. They were blue but now they are green. One of them has a ring of hazel around the pupil. They are so beautiful and unique, and different to my DH and mine. Mine are very light blue and my DH's are hazel. She gets the green from my MIL.

I have brown eyes and DH has hazel eyes. Owen and Nette were born with dark brown, nearly black eyes and Kathleen had blue eyes up till about 6 months and then they went hazel. I'd love a child with green eyes, they are so rare to have truly green eyes.

Nat usually has brilliant blue eyes, though sometimes they are more hazel. PJ has my dark hair and similar features to me, so I hope he also gets my green eyes!

I have hazel eyes and my BF has Brown - I think though my father had blue eyes not sure though.

If she does get hazel/brownish eyes it will suit her i think after this pic - I checked her eyes this morning they are still definately blue lol

Can they change to another colour and then change back real fast before they fully change?

my DS was born with the brighest blue eyes i had ever seen and by 5 months he had the darkest brown eyes :) like his dad. i have green eyes.:o
