Well here I am at nearly 21 weeks and all I have felt are little fluttery movements, they are not very often either..I realise all pregnancies are different but I would've expected Bubs to be kicking a whole lot by now..my boys were very busy by 20 weeks..

Anyone else in the same boat:confused:..My Ob advised that babies can get active anytime btwn 15 - 25 weeks so I still have a bit of leeway..

Cheers
Tina

Hi there - I'm not an October mummy, but a September one, so I hope you don't mind me dropping in :o

Do you have anterior placenta? Because this really delays feeling any movement, and when you do, you won't have the massive kicks, and you can't feel the bub through your tummy. I know, this is my third anterior placenta! I am 25 weeks now, and my DH and kids can only just feel the movement now.

The midwives/ob/sonographer often forget to tell you if you have an anterior placenta - but have a look at the report from your 18-20wk ultrasound report and it will tell you if you do.

Sorry again for dropping in :p

I know how you feel. I'm just over 19 weeks now and still nothing. I also have anterior placenta, and was terrified to look at the screen in my U/S in case something was wrong. Nope, all good, but she said it would be a few more weeks before I can feel anything.

At least you can feel some flutters, good to know SOMETHING'S going on in there, even if you can't feel everything.

I'm 18 weeks & I'm still only mostly feeling flutters & sometimes only about once a day. I didn't really feel much with DS til about 23 weeks & even then he wasn't as active as some babies.

I'm 20 weeks now and just starting to feel semi-regular (but very gentle) movements. But only a few days ago - nothing. So when it happens it will happen fast! That's my only advice!
I was getting worried and like Bazzas Mum was a bit worried about the scan because with previous pregnancies was feeling more by now and with twins I would have thought there would be more....
Anyway - like the rest of you - it appears all is well!

Its seems to be an October Mummy thing to have an anterior placenta. I have one too only it slops to the right. Meaning I only feel things on the left.

Haven't felt anything since Monday when I got an elbow in the side. :)

Another Anterior plancenta here too!
I've just felt bub move and its not strong movements. I'm 20 weeks.
I remember with DD I felt her move from 16 weeks and it was the whole textbook movements. so I know where you are coming from with this one. It's hard not to worry until you feel it frequently, but I'll happen.

Well funnily enough last night bubs decided to start kicking..it was fantastic:smiliedance::smiliedance:..DH even got to feel, he was very overwhelmed!!

So here I am 1 week later (21 weeks) than my 2 boys were...Might be a girl???:D

Also had to add I have had a cleaning fetish for about 4 weeks and I love it!! My house has never been soo clean and tidy. I think my 2 babies love how tidy I have kept the toy room..normally it's a war zone!

Hi Everyone,

20 weeks and no movement thus far.. or at least none that i can clearly identify anyway!!

I too have an anterior placenta. A bit disappointing as this is my first pregnancy and i am so excited and keen to feel that first kick!! But we have a healthy normal baby thus far so i can't ask for any more..

Me too! I also have an anterior placenta and I'm very unsure if I'm feeling anything or just imagining it. Hopping off the tram the other day I felt an odd lurch. I have my 20 week scan on Tuesday and I've been silently fretting in case something is wrong. Glad to know it's not just me. I so love the internet...

Another one here who was feeling uneasy due to lack of movement from bub

I had my scan the other week and it looks like the popular thing is the anterior placenta. How bizarre that there would be so many of us!

I felt both my other bubs a few weeks earlier than this too. I am starting to feel more and more flutters now though, so feeling much more relaxed about it all.

Me too. I've even started to wash down all the walls. And think about painting

This is way spooky all of us having the same placenta issue!!!

Hi Ladies

Just thought I would pop in to allay your concerns. I had anterior placenta with Lachie and did not feel any movements until 24 weeks. No flutters - just straight to kicks.

Please relax and enjoy your pregnancy!!!

Leanne

P.S. Still wish I was on this journey with you all!!!

Hi girls,
I have just joined Bub Hub and am having a quick look around. This is my first baby and we are very excited. My scan was all good at 19 weeks (my placenta is not anterior) - now 20 1/2 weeks but I don't think I have felt anything yet either. I wondered if I did last night, but couldn't tell if it was my little one or if it was my bowels still upset from a day of vomitting and diarrhoea. Has anyone else had any vomitting and diarrhoea because I am not sure if I had a bug or if it was pregnancy related?
:smiliedance: Starting to feel better today.
Looking forward to feeling definate movement.

Hi Oct2008,

Maybe speak to your doctor to check out the vomitting and diarrhoea. Vomitting is definately normal with Morning Sickness (unfortunately i still have it first thing in the morning), but i don't think the diarrhoea is pregnancy related. Sounds like a bug of some sort, probably harmless, just check with your OB and make sure you keep your fluids up.

I have only just started getting movements this week at 22 weeks.. those little flutters and gurgle like feelings are probably bub.. it's just hard to identify until they kick a little harder and you think "oh yeah, that feels familiar but stronger". The feelings you are getting that you are wondering if it is bub or not, probably is!!!

Look after yourself. And congrats on your first bubba too!!! YAY!

I've gone from feeling maybe bumps a couple of days ago - to actually seeing my tummy move today!! No flutters, straight to kick-boxing!!

Hope everyone else is feeling something now. It is a bit scary how many anterior placentas we have in Oct. Weird stuff!!
