I'm not really sure if I'm posting in the right place, but I was wondering if someone here might be able to help.

I have three children already [number 4 due in Feb], all of them were born in the Angliss FBC. Unfortunately I haemorrhaged [sp?] after my last birth and I have been told that I cannot use the birth centre again. I really don't want to give birth anywhere other than a birth centre.

So has anyone had a similar experience and was accepted at a different birth centre?? If not, where did you choose to give birth??

Before I had DS3 I had only one complicated pregnancy, and got into a birthcentre for DS3, although for DD I got refused, I never asked why and I regretted it, because I don't know wether it was because I had had 2 complicated pregnancies, or if it was because I was preg with twins

I would try and get in, it wouldn't hurt to try anyways

I had a PPH resulting in a blood transfusion after my first baby and had the next one in a BC (in Syd) without any problems. The only condition was that I agreed to have a canula put in place during labour for easy access with a drip just in case. In hindsight, I would not agree to this again as it wasn't necessary - it doesn't take very long to site a canula in case of emergency and having it done during labour was really disruptive. Even had a physiological third stage.

I am having this bub at home. My m/w can inject syntocinon and put up a drip if necessary.

Fight for what you want!
