I used cloth nappies exclusively with my daughter for 2 years but I have now had my second child (boy) and have been finding it hard keeping up with soaking, washing, drying and folding the cloth nappies. I feel by the time I do all this, I don't have time left to do other household duties and I could be spending more time with my kiddies. Because I know nothing about disposables, I was wondering what brands are good besides the usual "Huggies". My son is 10 weeks old.

Thanks Sophie!

I found baby love good and they come in a small newborn size aswell but I have now moved on to snugglers for my son they are a lot cheaper and I find they work just aswell as baby love.

I started with Huggies but now use Babylove. They are pretty good, not as many leak guards so I find I have to get on to the pooey nappies reasonably quickly to avoid leaks.

I have always used either Snugglers or Babylove for my son, he is now 2yrs old. Snugglers are made by the same company that makes Huggies, and from what I have heard recently about Huggies, the Snugglers might be better than they are now. I have never had any problems with either of these brands.
A few weeks ago I also discovered Coles brand nappies, they are in a white packet with a purple hippo/elephant/something like that, on the pack. I found these to be very similar to the Babylove nappies.
All of these brands have grip tabs, similar to the ones on Huggies, so they don't stick to bubs legs if bub wriggles when having their nappy changed, like my son has always done.

We use Snugglers and have no probs. Lullaby are also good but have sticky tabs that can get stuck to little legs if they wriggle.

I use woolworths "home brand" nappies during the day and huggies at nighttime.

For the first three months of Briana's life, I tried every different brand of nappy and found the Home Brand ones the best value (snugglers are also good but a little bit more expensive that the Woolworths homebrand).

i originally used huggies, then because of the cost i went to snugglers but found the reacted with my sons very sensitive skin, i then went to babylove and the only problem i have found is that maybe once a mth my son will wet thru them over nite (he sleeps between 10 and 12 hrs), but otherwise all good...

Hi Sophie,
I started off using Huggies, and then gave Babylove and Snugglers a try as well. I got totally fed up with the cost of these things (they only end up soaked in wee!!) and so, being cheapskates, my hubby and I bought some Coles "savings" brand nappies to try. 28 for $7.99 (from memory, I think)!! I now use these exclusively, although the other night I used up my last Huggies and we ended up having a major leakage through Libby's pyjamas!! I've found it doesn't matter what brand I use, they all seem pretty much the same. The only thing I will say about the Coles nappies is that the resealable grip tab is really just a strong sticky tape which can stick to my bub when changing, but it doesn't bother her, although I know some babies could be a little fussy about the sticking! The Woolies "Home Brand" are also excellent, and don't have such a sticky resealable tab. Good luck whatever you decide!!

Hello,

Yeah I just happen to buy the baby love newborns cause woolies had them on special the week before i had Hannah. So we used them, but i have tried huggie ( the winnie the pooh ones) and snugglers. But cause shes so small the only ones that fit her are the baby love. And i dunno about where you are from, but they often put the newborns out on special for $10.62 for 48 nappies. So normally buy 3 and then by the time we are just about they put them on special again, so it works out good.

I usually buy snugglers for during the day and Huggies or BabyLove for dueing the night. The "cheaper "ones for dueing the day because on constant changing and a more "expencive" ones for dueing the night so i know my bubs not going to wet through, I found that this works for me and its cheaper then putting an expensive nappy on dueing the day because of freqent changing. Mum to Connor 14/07/03 and trying to conceive bub#2 :)
