How on earth can I possible be this tired?
If I'm not sleeping then I'm busy 'resting'.
I'm just exhausted. I went to the shops in the weekend (5 minutes away) by the time we parked the car I needed a nap. I said to dp I swear if I out my head on the dash I will go to sleep.
He thinks its unreal that I have the sleeping capacity that I do.
but he also pointed out that the first couple of weeks I was tired but had insomnia. So now at least I AM sleeping.

I can sleep 12 hours and I wake up feeling..... awake, not refreshed not rejuvenated, nope, just awake, and ready for bed again.

Tell me I'm not the only one that wants to sleep for the next 6 weeks?

That is me exactly.:sleeping::sleeping::sleeping:

I too can't believe how tired I am. I slept 12 hrs last night, got up this morning and I felt like I hadn't even been to bed. My husband can't believe it either, so your not the only one.

I'm finding myself having to concentrate so hard at work just to stay awake, let alone get any work done. I've heard the first 12 weeks are tiring but this beyond what I ever thought it would be.

Is it time to go to bed yet??????

I am in the REALLY REALLY tired but CANNOT sleep group.
It is so annoying ... I feel so tired and will fall asleep for 20mins and wake up, then cant get back to sleep even though I feel exhausted..I cant wait to hit 12 weeks and hopefully this will go away

yep - come the afternoon and I'm just so stuffed. I don't have the energy to do anything. I think it gets better for a while before it gets worse yes? Can't remember. Just remember coming home from work (I'm a teacher) and sleeping for hours on the couch. You can't do that when yuo're a SAHM tho!!

Argh me too, I feel absolutely shattered!!

Doesn't help that I'm up until at least 10pm waiting for DH to call because of the time difference!!!

I don't remember feeling this tired all the time with my first or can't be bothered to do anything, I've got a stack of ironing that's been sitting there for about 6 weeks waiting to be done.
Doesn't help that I'm a sahm during the day to an active nearly 3 yr old then work nights until 12.

I want my energy back!!!

All I want to do is sleep but I wake up every half hour. I am so stiff and sore to so that doesn't help. Today I woke up and can't move my neck and I just want to sleep it off but I can't get comfortable :(. I feel like I am losing it. I can't think straight or lie straight :hair:

Ahh, other people who know how I feel. I had to quit work for 8 weeks with my first preg. I don't have that option now that DS is almost 2, looking after him is exhausting without being UTD. I am trialling a new strategy today, I have to eat something high calorie/high protein every hour. I was underweight before being preg and I have lost some more weight so I think i just don't have the energy to run my body plus grow a baby. So far a feel better than I have, not terrific but better, I will still need a nap i think.

Last time the fatigue just disappeared one day around 13 weeks, it was like someone flicked a switch. They say until the placenta kicks in properly the fetus is living of you like a parasite and will take any nutrients before you get them. I could almost feel the exact moment this changed last time. 5 weeks and counting!!
