Hello,
I am due with my wife in the very first week of Jan 2009, and we are looking for mums just like us or with childen already to spend some time with. I am happy to meet with other mums too, but just worried about going to a play group as a lesbain mum and how welcome I will be, I have heard some bad stories...
We are in the western suburbs...
I did post in the "Same Sex Parents" thread also...
 Hiya
I live in the western suburbs too (Torrensville - I think it's western ).
I don't go to playgroup or mother's groups because I've heard bad things also i.e. judgemental mums and I'm not even a lesbian. But I have made a lot of great friends online, on here too.
My closest friend I met on the internet and we have children similar age. It's great fun :D

Hi Stacey & Michelle. My names Lisa and I have a 16month old DD and another one due in August. Im from the northern side of Adelaide (Salisbury East) and we have a cool group of mums from this site who get together fairly often. I know I'd love to invite you both along to our get togethers. Its pretty casual, the kids just run a muck and we eat and have coffee.
Also there is a 'Pram Ribbon" morning tea being held on June 1st with many of the mums off this site going. You shoudl be able to find the thread under the Adelaide section.
Oh by the way huge congrats on the pregnancy .

 Hi StaceyMichelle. Welcome to Bub Hub and congratulations on your pregnancy :hugs: I am pregnant also and due in November & I am also part of the group Cheezelz was talking about. I live near Tea Tree Plaza / Golden Grove but I am willing to travel around to catch up with friends etc.
There are 4 of us in this 'group' that are preggers at the moment actually - 1 due August, 2 due November & 1 due January so the more the merrier (of course it's not a pre requisite to be pregnant )
Sometimes some of the mum come along even if their kids are in child care or something just to talk to other ladies so we don't all have our kids with us all the time. So feel free to come along even before bubs is born  I haven't found any of the ladies to be judgemental about anybodies life choices. We all have such a broad range of backgrounds but all seem to get along really well :flowerz:
Either way I look forward to 'chatting' to you more on bubhub at least :shakehands:

Welcome StaceyMichelle!! as the others have said you are more than welcome to come and join us, it's always relaxed and easy going, i'm not brave enough to bring my five by myself lol but do usually bring either bub or one or both of my older boys. I have come without any kids before too lol.
Huge congrats on you pregnancy :D
Hope to see you at one of our meet ups!!!

Yeah come along before the baby is born cos god knows that you may not have time once its out. We can compare notes. I wont disclose the measurements of my belly but I an open book for everything else! We're actually meeting tomorrow at a playcafe up north. If your interested PM me for details. We dont like to post our meetings on here for all to read in case we get stalkers or loopy people.
