Hi,

I am wondering if anyone out there has had trouble TTC whilst having a retroverted uterus (slightly tipped uterus)...... seems mine slightly tipped and didnt return to normal position after the birth of DD.....

I've read that generally it doesnt cause issues TTC, but in some people it can and that you should try different positions whilst TTC other than missionary.... like rear entry and lying on your tummy for 15 minutes after BD'ing...

Has anyone who has had a retroverted uterus experienced any success with these methods?

I'm interested now!:D

My mum and I both have retroverted uterus', my mum had three of us, all unplanned (one which came as a big shock as they only BD once that month). I fell pregnant last month after trying to conceive for 4 months but unfortunately had a m/c at 5 weeks. I was told by my gyno that it should cause any problems at all except in labour can be more painful as the babies back can rub on your back during contractions (if it is back to back that is!!) So as far as i know you should be able to fall just as easily- will be interesting to see this thread though- especially if i dont have a BFP next month, i will be trying some more positions- hahaha!!!

I have always conceived really easy and I have a retroverted uterus.

My one VB was a posterior labour :crying: though.

My dr told me after the birth of DS that my uterus was retroverted. She had never mentioned it before so I assume it happened as a result of his birth. Anyway, it certainly didn't cause me any problems - DD was conceived without even trying.

hELLO..

I have a retroverted uterus and got pregnant the first month trying (much to my surprise!)

I just had my legs up against the wall after BDing each time, like everyone else..

Good luck! I hope you get your BFP soon..

Yes it is, it can happen after child birth, some peoples go back to normal position, others remain tilted.

Hi Crafty :D

I have a retroverted uterus and it took us 15 months ttc DD, and 6 months so far with this one (although I am breastfeeding still). I never really thought it would cause any probs but maybe it did. I don't know about the different pozzies, but it would make sense that some would enable the little spermies to get up there easier!

I have a retroverted uterus and have always managed to conceive quite easily (touch wood). I've had two miscarriages, but they were unrelated to my retroverted uterus.

The only problem I've had is with early ultrasounds, they just about always have to be internal ones because of the retroverted thing.
