View Full Version : Three months old and teething i need advice
Hi,
Just need some advice, my 3 month old daughter is teething she has two teeth coming through one has almost cut through but not yet she is in so much pain she cries a lot, and she doesnt really wanna drink is there anything that can help our little problem because i hate seeing her in pain it breaks my heart.
check out your local pharmacy, there maybe a teething gel suitable to the age, try a wet flannel that has been in the freezer and let her suck on it, if she wont suck on teething toys
put cold water in a bottle the coolness may help
i cant remember panadol's age, i think it has to have a dr consult for young bubs, maybe go to your gp
hopefully one of these help!!
good luck teething is the worst part of babies.
I've used (and recommended to everyone I know!) Hylands Teething Relief for all my kids and I can't fault it! It's BRILLIANT!!
I usually get it from Amcal but if it's out of stock they can get it within a day for me.
ETA:
A homeopathic combination for the temporary relief of symptoms of simple restlessness and wakeful irritability due to cutting teeth.
My little man started teething at 2 1/2 months, no one believed me of coarse but then just before he was 3 months old one tooth was all the way up and the second came very soon after. He did handle it pretty well tho for the first one. I just gave him wet washers to chew on and held up teething doughnut rings - they were the best. He wasn't picking things up so it made it tough. The other thing I found worked heaps was if I took him outside to take his mind off it or gave him a bath. Obviously you cant do this at night thats where good old fashioned cuddles come in . The pharmisist told me I could use bonjella even tho is said 4 months as did our Dr but I didnt want to. I was also told of some natural remedies but I wasnt comfortable giving him anything but breastmilk. IF you are BF you can offer her the breast, it does help too:thumbsup:.
Good luck:goodvibes: Also I dont know how true this is so no one shut me down but my CHN said that only 2% of bubs have teeth before they are 3 months old (not teething but actually have teeth) If thats true then WOW we're just the lucky ones arent we :D.
Thank you to every one for the advice that you all gave i have tried it out and it is working great.. i hope to talk to you all very soon

Give her panadol, you can get the infant panadol suitable for bubs over 2 months, but check nurofen aswell that has an anti-inflamatory (sp?) in it I just can't remember the age. Also Infants Friend (available at chemists) works quite well
thanks, i've gone out and brought panadol it seems to be working pretty well its a tough time teething

my daughter started teething at 3 months- her tooth didn't come thru til she was 9 months. I found that wetting a face washer and putting it in the freezer for a while , then run it under a bit of cool water just before u give it to bub- its a cheap and easy alternative to teething gels. Panadol and bonjela work really good as well... they ease the symptoms and numb the pain, so ur bub (and u!) can get a bit of rest.
It is hard, but after the first 2 or so are thru, it doesn't seem to be that bad. And if all else fails, Vodka also helps (for you of course!!). Good luck with everything!!
