Hi everyone

I am just wondering if any of you ladies have got hep c or know anyone who does have hep c and had a baby?

I am just wanting to know if your bubs were born well...?

I found out that I have hep C just before I found out I was pregnant, my levels are extremely good (dr said there was nothing to worry about re my health) but am just wondering if this is going to affect bubs.

All the medical diarys etc say the chance of bubs getting sick is extremely low but I suppose I am just looking for some real life answers

thanks for your help

when i had my dd, the lady i was rooming with had hep c.. and her bub was born 100 % healthy......
about a year later i saw her again, and she was due for her 3 rd bub.. all her kids were healthy.... these days the chances of bubs being affected is quite slim :D
All the best :)

I know quite a few ladies that have had a baby whilst having Hep C. All of them are ok. Their babies were fine.
Make sure you eat well and take care of yourself.
There is only a 5% chance of baby getting Hep C if the mum has it and its even less if dad has it.
And that 5% is basically from blood to blood contact during birth.

You should get some more advice from your doctor or the hospital or even do your own research on the net.But make sure you read as much as you can as different sites tell you different things.
If you have any more Questions about Hep C let me know cause i have tonnes of info on it.

I hope thingz go well for you and baby.
