This is how it was suppose to go

Drive to Perth
Go to JHC
Open to drugs, start with gas, go to pethadine, maybe a epi.
All done!!

This is how it really happened

We live a few hours away from Perth so I went to my local Gp until I had to go to Perth. Went were booked in at JHC and on my due date when in to see what was to happen. The doc did a stretch and sweep and said if the bub hadnt arrived then I was booked in a week later for an induction. And sent home.
On the way back about an hr from perth i went to the toilet and had blood, must be like when you have a papsmear, and got back into the car to go home.
At home dh went to cricket training, I lay around with braxton hicks, so I thought!!
Dh got home a little under the weather and we went to bed, about 11 i said to dh that the braxton hicks were really hurting.
We decided to head for our local hospital, a rebuilt hospital that since then has not delivered bubs.
When we got there I there ambulance was rung, by the time that got there they decided i would probably give birth in it on the way so might as well stay.
I had midwifes that hadnt delivered babies for many years, ( there was a call around the town for anyone that was a midwife to come in!!) a doctor that was attending his first birth, (with bad english that was telling me to pull not push) and a totally unorganised hospital, because no one knew where any birthing equipment was!!
I was offered oxygen, but no gas. That was it for drug relief!!
3 hrs later I delivered my ds, who was perfectly healthy.

I wouldnt change a thing because in the end it worked out!!

I cant wait for the next one!! (due dec) Hopefully might be in a real maternity hospital!!

Wow, that was a quick birth! Imagine your next one?! Mmm... you might have to plan to stay in Perth for a lil' bit to ensure you deliver in a maternity hospital :D. Mind me asking where abouts in WA you're from? I bet the hospital was as shocked as you to be delivering your baby without the necessary preparation.

In the end both yourself and bubs were safe and healthy, and that's all that matters at the end of the day. All the best for this coming December :flowerz:
