Anyone Out There From Laidley/hattonvale Area

How do you like the area????

Do you know of a good butcher in the area?? Or surrounds???

Is there any swimming pools around???

Hi, I lived in kensington grove for a good few years, then moved to the northside of brisbane, now we are buying a block of land out there, and hope to be out there before christmas this year.:yes:.

I really want to know some people out there this time round, as this time is a forever move.

So I will be remembering this thread, and will be hitting you guys up when I get out there.

Laidley has a swimming pool, I think they do swimming lessons, am not to sure about that.

I also use to use the butcher in laidley, directly across from the iga??? if all this is still the same. I dont know if the meat is any better there, I just had the major hots for the butcher. :p. sad but true.

Where is Laidleys swimming pool, and is it heated??? I was thinking Lowood...I dont want DS to go to swimming lessons, just so we can get some close to home practice in....

LMAO about the butcher....its still there....I had a look walking past it one day and it didnt look all that great, or cheap...or even value for money....

Why did you go to Laidley??? Did you ever go to Lowood for anything??? Everyone seems to go to Laidley for everything.....and its futher away in my opinion...Not that its a problem, just curious!

I think because, in the end, (at the time I was there) there was more to do in laidley,

We use to go out for dinner every friday, first at the plainland pub, then we found some old pub in the main st of laidley, and we could get a steak and lots of great salads and stuff for $10!!:thumbsup:.

Then have a few bets and drinks then go home,

There was also a kids clothes shop near the qml in laidley, that I was addicted too, and the library.

I dont know what lowood is like now, but it was better in laidley like 5 years ago.

was looking at these areas to move at , more leaning to the other side now , Lowood an or fernvale now :)

HI i dont mind the area its nice and quiet but it gets lonely out here when you dont know anyone...

What kindy does your son go to my son goes to the old abc he loves it...

yeah there is a swimming pool i take trae' in summer its ok and heated but not open in winter as for anything else aroudn here im not real sure i do all my shopping at woolworths plainland and other than that if i go anywhere its ipswich or toowoomba or browns plains as there isnt much around here..

id love to catch up if your up for it but if possible could you email me rather than reply to thread i dont get on here much as i always forget lol....

What a bummer about the pool.... I go into Springwood to take DS to lessons... My son also goes to the old ABC centre... (as mentioned in another thread)....

It does get lonely out here hey, I have just come back staying over a week in Logan area and at the shops all the time, only to come back here and feel so isolated....

I used to take Trae' to swimming at sunnybank hills but we have stopped this year.

He is 2 born 27/1/06 and i also have a daughter shes 6 months.

lonely is not the word lol im going insane haha...

I moved here from sydney 2 years ago i went from working full time having loads of friends studying partying and going to the gym to moving to qld having two babies no friends no life haha lucky ihave mum shes just around the corner but its not the same as friends LOL.....

Ok now im sounding desparate hehe...
