Thought I would throw this question out there as I am looking for someone who may be interested in doing pregnancy yoga and powerbirth classes with me after we've passed the first trimester.

And it may help match other people up for the same sort of thing in different areas :)

I'm from North West Sydney and looking to do yoga at Castle Hill.

I'm not really into the whole yoga thing, but I've spoken to way too many women who swear by it for birth.

I figure its better to do SOMETHING than nothing. And depending on my ability to tolerate pain..... I'm contemplating accidentally not making it to the hospital in time. I used to be a nurse, mum is a nurse and a good frfiend used to be a midwife. We'll see how I feel about that in a few months though.

Coffee morning sounds great. I'm actually not living in Mount Martha right at this moment. I move in two and a half weeks and don't know ANYONE, so it would be lovely to meet some new people - especially considering we can all complain about being UTD together!

Yeah, I'd have to bring my 16 month old along as well :D

Hels - my Wee Man isn't walking yet either. Almost but only about 5 or 6 steps at a time, when he thinks about it (it's so funny to watch - he pulls his fists up to his armpits & really concentrates on walking). It's quite frustrating sometimes though - all the kids from parent's group can walk except for him. But then, it's nice to know he can't run away too quickly...lol.

Ooooh...well, where would be a good place?

My DS (16mths) has been walking since 1 week after his 1st b'day - believe me - i would be in no rush to get the to walk.....I never get to sit still..
He isnt talking yet - makes lots of sounds but no real words - are your boys talking??
It's quite funny - there are 4 or 5 of us who had babies really close last time and now this lot are going to be close again :)

My DS's vocabulary is very good. I guess they all develop at different stages. Apparently I didn't walk until 19 mths old.

He has quite a wide range of words that he's said in the past but only says them once or twice, then never again. The exception being Da Da & now he's started saying Ma all the time when he wants to get my attention. The maternal health nurse mentioned boys often talk later than girls...& if they get what they want without having to talk for it, they're often later still.

My dad didn't walk till after he was 2. I wonder if Wee Man's walking is delayed because he commando crawled for absolutely ages before learning to crawl properly (on hands & knees). He was only just starting to crawl properly when the other kids at parent's group were starting to cruise round the furniture.

Yes they are, VERY well. Its so annoying, id love them to go back to crawling LOL!

With walking comes another type of independance I swear!

They have been walking well for about a month, and were taking 6 or so steps for about a month before that.

Who would be on for a SE Melbourne coffee morning then? :)

I am pretty flexible as DS#1 is at school so I've just got to make sure I can drop off and pick up in time.

Would a play centre be a good place to meet as that would keep any little ones entertained? Just hope I don't look like a weirdo going in without a child :D

There's a good large play centre in Chelsea Heights if that's convenient for everyone.

If you let me know who's interested in coming along, days of the week that are preferable and where you'll be coming from we can settle on a meeting date/place.
